Production Operations Manager - Injection Moulding

£40000 - £50000 per annum 6% pension, Life Ass.

Due to continued growth and expansion this well-established manufacturing company on the south coast near Brighton are currently seeking a Production Operations Manager to join their team, where the primary responsibility will be the all-round management of the production facility, providing necessary production support to both Injection moulding and production.

As Production Operation Manager, the ideal Candidate -

  • Responsible for the day to day management and co-ordination of production and distribution operations.
  • Maintain and implement standards according to 6s, Kaizen, TPM (Total Preventative Maintenance), SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Die) and other initiatives.
  • Manage a program of continuous improvement and introduce lean manufacturing methodology
  • Ensure products are manufactured to the correct quality and specification.

To be successful in the role of Production Operations Manager, the ideal candidate will -

  • Have experience within the Injection Moulding industry
  • Have experience of managing and developing a production team
  • Have a clear understanding of lean Manufacturing Principles
  • Likely already hold the job title of Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Mouldshop Manager, or Operations Manager.

Based in Worthing, this role is commutable from Bognor, Chichester, Brighton and Horsham.

On offer -

A salary of £40-50k depending on experience, 23 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, up to 6% pension, and Life assurance.

Hours 8.00am-17.30pm, Mon to Friday.

CNC Programmer

£23712 - £27664 per annum

Our client are a renowned family run, successful machining engineering company that has been established for over 40 years. They are seeking to grow their current friendly team.

The company is based in Redditch so is easily commutable from Birmingham, Bromsgrove, Droitwich, Dudley, Halesowen, Solihull, Worcester.

As a CNC Programmer, your duties will include;

  • Set and program 4 axis CNC milling machine centres (Fanuc) and operate accordingly, including jigs, fixtures and some tooling
  • Read, interpret and understand technical engineering drawings
  • Conduct machining processes as required
  • Use suitable measuring equipment to establish correct fit and tolerance to drawings

I would welcome applications from candidates who meet the following criteria;

  • Experience of programming, setting and operation of 4 axis machining cnc milling centres using Fanuc controls
  • Working Knowledge of G-Codes
  • Can read technical drawings effectively and use measuring equipment such as verniers etc.
  • Ability to maintain tools and equipment effectively
  • Able to work to tight tolerances and have a good eye for detail

Material Handler / Overhead Crane Operator

£8 - £9 per hour

Material Handler/Overhead Crane Operative / Kingswinford / £8.21 per hour / Temp to perm

We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Material Handler / Overhead Crane Operative to join a large steel firm located in Kingswinford on a temp to perm basis.

As an Overhead Crane Operative you will be responsible for operating a 30tonne overhead crane to manoeuvre steel stock around the workplace, loading and unloading machinery and vehicles. Your regular duties would include, but would not be limited to;

  • Unloading steel coil from vehicles
  • Marking material with works information
  • Loading & unloading machinery
  • Loading vehicles for dispatch
  • Keeping factory organised, clean & tidy
  • Adhering to strict health and safety guidelines at all times
  • Any other duties as and when required

To be considered for this role you must be an experienced Material Handler / Overhead Crane Operative with recent experience coming from within the steel industry. You ARE NOT required to have a valid in-date Overhead Crane Licence.

Working hours for this role would be straight morning, working 6am - 2pm, though you must be flexible to work until 4pm on any given day, whenever required. The rate of pay for this Material Handler / Overhead Crane Operator position is £8.21 per hour.

Design Engineer

Role: Design Engineer (Junior, Graduate)

Design Engineer Responsibilities

There are lots to learn, so you can expect to be using your skills in organization, creativity and self-motivation to perform the following duties;-

  • Contribute to the design/development of existing products as well as brand new concepts.
  • Support the design/development departments with your forward thinking design and innovation techniques.
  • Project documentation will ensure that best practice is used to design products, whilst keeping close tabs on budget and allotted time given to complete the project.
  • Work with stakeholders (internal/external). Strong confidence and communication skills needed!
  • Generate technical documentation for new product development or new parts, this includes 2D and 3D drawings.
  • Ensure all designs are suitable for manufacture
  • Undertake product testing required by the design and development department, issue reports and verify testing undertaken
  • Support the Quality Assurance team with fault finding on product returns or quality issues
  • Ensure product manuals and guides are up to date and accurate and amend these guides when required

To be successful in the role of Junior Mechanical Design Engineer the ideal Candidate will -

  • Hold a degree/HND in an Engineering discipline
  • Have experience of Mechanical design with some understanding of electronic products

slitter Setter / Operator

£10 - £13 per hour

Slitter Setter / Operator / Temp to Perm / Kingswinford / £10.00 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a Slitter Setter / Operator for a well-established manufacturing company based in Kingswinford.

To be considered for this role you will have to have experience running Slitting lines and also have experience using FLT's and Overhead Cranes.

You will be responsible for;

  • The running of the slitting line
  • Using overhead crane to load and unload the machine
  • Using FLT's to load and unload vehicles when needed
  • Banding up processed steel when required

Your working hours will be straight days 7:00am - 4:00pm Monday - Thursday and 7:00am - 12:00pm on Fridays, working 40 hours a week. The rate of pay will be £10 depending on relevant experience. After a thirteen week probationary period through the agency you will be eligible for a permanent contract, though you should be prepared to work longer than this on the agency books.

Electronics & Systems Engineer

A global manufacturer is looking to recruit an experienced Electronics & Systems Engineer

to join their team due to continued growth & expansion, responsible for functional testing of hardware & software creating methodical test reports and to be the first line of support for issues in production.

Experience/Skills/Knowledge required to be successful:

  • Experience in Coding and Electronics
  • MUST HAVE knowledge / understanding of the principles of Embedded Software
  • Preferably able to program in C/C with experience of real time embedded systems
  • Able to read and interpret electronics schematics & troubleshoot both hardware and software
  • Able to design PCBA for manufacture

In the role of Electronics & Systems Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Design & development of both new products and existing product modifications
  • Creating detailed project documentation including functional & non-functional requirements

  • Support project administration for both current & new product development projects ensuring projects are completed both on time & to budget

  • Undertake product testing required by design & development and document results
  • Support the Quality Assurance team with fault finding on product returns / quality issues
  • Assist with providing compliance testing & documentation for the products

  • Maintain and develop Quality Systems throughout the factory operations ensuring that the highest standards of product quality are maintained
  • Regularly update Quality Manager on pending actions, completed projects & any quality related production issues
  • Review and perform Root Cause Analysis on non-conforming parts
  • Conduct ISIR and FAIRs
  • Day to day production verification tasks including life testing & testing following documented procedures
  • Conduct Goods Inwards inspection
  • Liaise with Production on any quality issues that arise, agree required corrective actions and document as necessary
  • Analyse customer rejects and production lines failures to identify common causes

Senior Injection Moulding Setter / Technician

£27000 - £33000 per annum

This well-established Plastics manufacturing company is currently seeking a Senior Setter/ Technician to join their mouldshop.

Working on a days' basis Mon-Fri in a busy mouldshop containing over 25 machines, your duties will include -

  • Changing tools & Condition setting
  • Trouble shooting processing and tooling issues
  • Optimising processes

To be successful in the role of Senior Setter/Technician, the ideal Candidate will -

  • Be an experienced Setter, Technician or Process Engineer with a strong background in injection moulding
  • Have exposure to a range of polymers
  • Be able to set machinery from scratch, effectively troubleshoot, and identify scrap/cost savings

Days based role Mon-Fri

Salary of £27-33k depending on experience.

Laser Operator

£11 - £12 per hour

Laser Operator / Temp to Perm / Aston / £11.00 - £12.00 per hour

We are currently recruiting for Laser Operator for a large steel firm based in the Birmingham/Aston area.

Your main responsibilities in this role will be to operate the laser and work from engineering drawings to be able to produce parts that meet the customer quality requirements. You will be using the laser to cut a variety of materials.

To be considered for this role you will have to have experience with using Amada machines. Specifically you will be using the Amada LC3015 FOMMk11 4KW laser and Trumpf 3050. You will also need a FLT license for this role.

You will be responsible for;

  • Regular maintenance of machines and equipment
  • Ensuring route cards are filled in correctly
  • Running of the laser to requirements
  • Housekeeping of your area
  • Loading and unloading of the machine
  • Driving a counter balance FLT
  • Working specifically to engineering drawings
  • Logging what materials you have used on the system
  • Monitoring stock and ensuring that you communicate so that it can be re-ordered
  • To participate in continuous improvement projects and attend training courses where applicable

For this role you will be working fixed days from 7:00am to 4:00pm - Monday to Thursday and 7:00am to 12:00pm on Friday, at a rate of £11.65 per hour. It is a thirteen week temp to perm contract and the client is looking for someone to start ASAP!
