Early on the morning of Saturday, June 18th, we embarked on our journey to Snowdonia for a day of hiking to raise funds for Brighter Days Rescue. Joining forces with our friends at Professional Technical, we began our ascent up the Llanberis Trail.
The Llanberis Trail, spanning approximately 14.5 kilometers round trip, is the longest of the six main paths to Snowdon’s summit, with an elevation gain of around 3,199 feet. We started with a gentle ascent through the picturesque countryside, gradually revealing panoramic views of the valley below and the surrounding peaks as we climbed higher.
As we approached the summit, the terrain became rougher, but our team pulled together, supporting each other through the final push. By noon, we reached the summit and enjoyed a well-earned lunch break. Spirits were high as we chatted and took in the breathtaking views before beginning our descent.
The journey back down was swift, and we capped off the day by finding a spot to celebrate with a drink. We proudly raised over £500 for Brighter Days Rescue, feeling accomplished and honoured to have hiked in support of such a fantastic charity!
