As a Resource Executive for ASC Connections, I focus on resourcing talented individuals within the Supply Chain & Logistics markets for contract, permanent and temporary roles and all roles within this sector that are business support roles.  

I thoroughly enjoy the variation of roles that I recruit for within my sector and I have had the pleasure of working with some extremely talented individuals. The prospect of changing someone’s life for the better by helping them find their dream job is what I enjoy most about working in recruitment! Cost Accountant

The Role:

I am working alongside a leading industrial manufacturer who is looking for an experienced cost accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the standard costs of the UK industrial business. You will also analyse and maintain inventory records on a regular basis.

Duties:

  • Standard costs - control and processing of the annual standard cost roll procedure in SAP.

  • Inventory - Prepare analysis of inventory on a weekly and monthly basis. Prepare reports analysing inventory ageing in order to calculate provisions for obsolete/slow moving inventory.

  • General Ledger - Prepare and post accurate and timely journal entries.

  • Reconciliations - Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.

  • Reports - Provide timely, accurate and professional reports that include daily input / output updates, weekly shipping forecasts, inventory analysis plus annual federal and state tax type schedules.

  • Analysis - Perform ad hoc analysis and work with operating personnel to identify cost and product cost issues and opportunities.

Essential Skills:

  • Part qualified in accounting or finance (CIMA/ACCA)
  • Experience with standard costing in a manufacturing environment and inventory control / analysis
  • Good knowledge and practical experience with corporate accounting
  • Reporting and consolidation issues including those associated with GAAP and SEC rules and regulations
  • Ability to identify and investigate trends and potential issues
  • Proficient use of SAP

We are working alongside a successful automotive company who are looking for a Supply Planning Analyst to join their ever growing supply chain team on a 2 year FTC. The client is looking for someone with strong analytical skills and who has experience within supply chain!

Duties:

  • Heavy use of spreadsheets

  • Purchase orders / ordering new cars

Job description:

Are you a supply chain specialist who is keen to find a new opportunity in the new year? Then please get in touch as I am currently looking to recruit someone for a well-established manufacturing company! The salary is negotiable depending on experience, but ideally you will have an all-round varied supply chain background with specialist experience with planning, analysing & forecasting. Experience liaising with suppliers/clients from overseas is also beneficial as you will manage and control stocks in the UK and Overseas.

Duties:

  • Optimise stock levels for the warehouse, looking at annual budget, seasonal demand and re-forecasts.
  • Monitor/analyse the production schedule for the UK, making sure to satisfy customer demand
  • Maintain stock levels
  • Scheduler and manager customer audits
  • Produce and review KPI's
  • Liaise with overseas businesses to provide reports and results
  • Inform the customer service department of product availability and sales reports so they have efficient information for customers

Essential qualities:

  • Experience in a broad range of supply chain specialisms
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Advanced IT skills

A leading online retailer are recruiting for a supply chain administrator to be based at their distribution centre in Northampton where you will provide administrative support to the operations team. This is an ongoing temporary position.

Duties:

  • Resolve any historical invoice issues through analysis of warehouse receipts and price discrepancies
  • Provide accurate update reporting to stakeholders in the operational, finance and commercial teams
  • Liaise with suppliers to provide data and resolution to discrepant invoices
  • Support the process of vendor over receipts and vendor returns
  • Support general administration
  • Manage customer care queries and resolve any issues

Essential skills:

  • Have the ability to analyse data on systems and make quick decisions
  • Administrative experience
  • Experience with working within Ecommerce or FMCG backgrounds
  • Strong communication skills

THE ROLE:
I'm looking for an experienced logistics analyst / scheduler / materials planner to join a leading manufacturing company based in Tipton! This is an exciting and challenging role where you will be fully responsible for ensuring that the customer schedules are met in full and dispatched in a timely manner.

THE DUTIES:

  • Analysing customer schedules to create supplier schedules
  • Ensure 100% deliver to all customers
  • Analyse any issues and manage suppliers to ensure that part shortages/late deliveries do not impact production
  • Work towards departmental targets
  • Process customer orders, resolve scheduling queries
  • Update systems and reports
  • Monitor customer packaging
  • Provide efficient logistics support to all areas of the business
  • Fully conversant with materials planning
  • Master Bills of Material
  • Improve stock record accuracy
  • Update customer delivery tracking system


ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel
  • Strong knowledge of MRP systems, preferably Navision and SAP

THE ROLE:

We are currently working alongside a well known automotive parts company who are looking for a transport administrator to join their ever-growing team! Your duties will include:

  • Liaising with drivers to ensure collections and deliveries run smoothly
  • Data entry using Excel spreadsheets
  • Despatch notes for drivers
  • Coordinate drivers and routes and be aware of any changes
  • Maintain vehicle records
  • Assist drivers with any queries
  • Report any vehicle defects
  • Fill out appropriate paperwork for vehicles
  • Report any issues
  • Liaise with drivers and provide accurate delivery times/notify them of any changes

SKILLS:

  • Administrative experience, ideally within transport
  • Strong knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to input data quickly and efficiently
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • A personable attitude and personality is key!!!
