I am a recruitment specialist and recruitment manager with 17 years experience specialising in the recruitment of professionals across Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics and Merchandising. Over the years I have managed many recruitment campaigns for a wide range of SME's and large businesses across the UK. 

I started ASC in 2011 working soley within the Supply Chain and Procurement sector. Since then I have built a team of specialist consultants who provide a permanent and contract recruitment service for the sector. 

Typical positions the team recruit for include: Buyers, Supply Chain Analysts, Shift Managers, Merchandisers right up to Supply Chain Directors, Head of Procurement and Operations Directors

I strive to give a personal and honest service and have developed a strong network of candidates and clients, therefore I am able to support you if you're looking for a new role or to hire more staff.

I haven't always worked in recruitment....

Before I started my recruitment career, I spent a few years working at DisneyLand Paris acting as Disney characters in the daily parades. Goofy was my favourite!

Are you an experienced Inventory professional with a passion and desire to accurately manage a wide range of stock within a large, fast-paced distribution centre?

Responsibilities

  • Providing the network development team with dealer financial assessment support
  • Work with the dealer network to improve and to deliver higher levels of profitability
  • Developing business plans for existing and new dealers entering the network
  • Assist the network development team in assessing underperforming dealers and their viability to improve their operations.
  • Assist in Business plan development

Skills and experience

In order to be successful in your application, you will ideally have worked for a manufacturer or a large dealership franchise and have a proven track record of turning around underperforming dealers improving overall profitability.

An established market leading 3pl business is looking for a Senior Operations Manager at their Distribution Centre based in the Peterborough area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of around 100 employees to deliver outstanding service to your customers.
  • Ensure all KPI's and service levels are being met and where possible exceeded.
  • Drive change within the organisation to improve performance across all areas of the operation.
  • Develop strong relationships with your customers and to work closely with your team to ensure service levels are met and exceeded.
  • Ensure all operational and health and safety policies are adhered to.

Candidate Requirements

  • You will have experience as an Operations Manager within a Retail/ Distribution/3PL environment, ideally with experience of management within an e-fulfilment operation.
  • Proven track record of developing and leading successful teams to ensure all service levels are met.
  • Customer facing experience and the ability to build a strong relationship with these.
  • Strong communication skills and high attention to detail
  • Organised and efficient

Responsibilities

  • Management and development of pricing for all parts using competitor analysis, market analysis and sales trends
  • Implementation of pricing methodologies in accordance with company guidelines
  • Achievement of all company targets based on parts and profit
  • Production of variety of reports for senior Management
  • Supporting dealer network in service sales and profitability

Skills and experience

  • Previous experience as a pricing analyst/pricing manager within an automotive business or a business with large numbers and variety of parts/products
  • Strong numerical, analysis and PC skills including MS Excel
  • Commercially astute
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to deal with people of all levels internally and customers externally
