Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

£25000 - £28000 per annum

Days based role Monday-Friday, friendly working environment. £28k Benefits

This successful manufacturing company is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to take on responsibility for mechanical maintenance of capital plant, equipment and site facilities. The main objective of the role is to ensure that all equipment, systems and processes operate effectively, efficiently, safely and provide good plant reliability.

As Maintenance Engineer, your duties will include -

  • Reactive and planned maintenance of plant and machinery
  • Investigation of mechanical plant and machinery breakdowns, determining root cause and carrying out necessary repair work inclusive of obtaining spare parts as necessary.
  • Investigating failures in services, determine root cause and carry out necessary repair work inclusive of obtaining spare parts as necessary.
  • Installation of new equipment.
  • Ensuring all plant/machinery records are kept up to date.
  • Competently reading and using mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics to diagnose faults.

To be successful in the role of Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, the ideal Candidate -

  • Will require a minimum of HNC in an Engineering discipline and post apprenticeship experience in a production plant environment.
  • Must be able to read and understand mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
  • Will have good verbal and written communication skills, and, good numerical and literacy skills.

Based on the outskirts of Leicester this role is commutable from Ashby, Nuneaton, Coventry, Rugby, Coalville, Loughborough and Market Harborough.

Candidates suitable for this role are likely to hold the job title Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Mechanical Fitter, Mechanical Engineer or Service Engineer.

Salary of up to £28k, working 8-5 Mon-Fri in a friendly environment.

Maintenance Engineer

£30000 - £35000 per annum Overtime Available

This growing manufacturing business is currently seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team, working on a days basis Monday-Friday, where it will be your responsibility to ensure that all machinery is checked, maintained and serviced to ensure continuous and safe running and to reduce incidences of costly breakdowns.

As Maintenance Engineer, your duties will include -

  • Responsibility for carrying out and recording all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) for a wide range of manufacturing and plant equipment
  • Undertaking fault finding activities on defective equipment
  • Organising the timely repair of equipment including injection moulding machines, robotics and ancillary equipment
  • Carrying out basic building and facilities maintenance
  • Supporting installation projects and equipment commissioning

To be successful in this role, the ideal Candidate will -

  • Have experience of working in a similar maintenance role within a manufacturing environment
  • Have experience of working with pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and have your own vehicle

Based near Eynsham, this role is commutable from Woodstock, Chipping Norton, Yarnton, Faringdon and Stow on the Wold.

Candidates suitable for this role are likely to already hold the job title of Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Technician, or Service Engineer.

The successful business are currently seeking an electrically biased Field Service Engineer to join their Service team due to a period of prolonged growth.

As Field Service Engineer your duties will include -

  • Electrical servicing, fault finding, maintenance and commissioning of water treatment applications such as ultra violet (UV) disinfection systems.
  • Upselling services and equipment
  • Maintaining service documentation
  • Provide remote assistance by phone/email
  • Provide customer training

To be successful in the role of Field Service Engineer, the ideal candidate should have -

  • Strong electrical servicing, fault finding and maintenance experience.
  • Experience working in the field in a customer facing role.
  • Mechanical maintenance/fault finding skills.

Candidates suitable for this role are likely to already hold the job title of Service Engineer, Installation Engineer, or Commissioning Engineer.

The successful company I am working with are recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to support their substantial growth!

The Field Service Engineer is needed to come in and carry out on-site maintenance, servicing, commissioning and installation of various types of water treatment machinery across the country.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Established over 50 years ago this successful manufacturing company is currently seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to take responsibility for the electrical maintenance of all capital plant, equipment and site facilities. The role is also responsible for mechanical breakdowns and planned preventative maintenance ensuring maximum uptime.

As Maintenance Engineer your duties will include -

  • Investigation of all electrical plant and machinery breakdowns, and mechanical plant and machinery breakdowns where necessary/as required, determine root cause and carry out necessary repair work inclusive of obtaining spare parts as necessary.
  • Investigating failures in services, determine root cause and carry out necessary repair work inclusive of obtaining spare parts as necessary.
  • Carrying out project/modification work when necessary.
  • Maintaining all plant and equipment through PPM schedules.
  • Installing new plant and equipment ensuring compliance to the latest regulations.

To be successful in this role, the ideal Candidate will -

  • Be qualified to a minimum of HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering discipline
  • Have experience of working in a plant/manufacturing environment
  • Be skilled in electrical maintenance
  • Have familiarity with mechanical/hydraulics
  • Be competent in programmable logic controllers (PLCs)


Based in Leicester, this role is easily commutable from Oakham, Melton Mowbray, Coalville, Loughborough, and Market Harborough.
Candidates suitable for this role are likely to already hold the title of Maintenance Engineer / Technician, Maintenance Technician, Facilities Engineer, Electrical Engineer.
