My understanding and interest in the Life Science sector comes from my time at University studying Human Biosciences. Currently, I recruit for a range of permanent roles from Project Engineers to Field Service and Process Engineers within this sector.

Field Service Engineer

£35000 - £40000 per annum

We are currently looking for Field Service Engineer to join a laboratory product manufacturing company. As the Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, calibrating and maintaining lab devices across the Wiltshire and surrounding area.

Your duties as the Field Service Engineer will be varied. However, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  1. You will repair, calibrate and perform preventative maintenance on liquid handling machines both in-house and at customer sites.
  2. As the Field Service Engineer, you will work to industry standards (ISO 17025 and UKAS) in medical/laboratory and pharmaceutical environments.
  3. You will provide excellent customer service while on site and act as the company ambassador at all times.
  4. You will ensure the correct health and safety practice is adhered to.

  1. Relevant Scientific qualification (BSc, BEng, HNC or similar).
  2. Proven industry experience in maintaining laboratory equipment and/or lab experience.

Instrument Project Engineer

£35000 - £45000 per annum

We are currently looking for an Instrument Project Engineer to join a long established chemical manufacturing company in the west midlands area. As the Instrument Project Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the full life-cycle management of the instrumentation projects in the chemical plant and working to COMAH and ATEX standards.


Your duties as the Instrument Project Engineer will be varied. However, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:


1. You will take lead in the full instrumentation project life cycle from design through to commissioning for in-house projects including budgeting.
2. You will have hands on experience as an Instrumentation Engineer and be confident in equipment such as: level, temperature, pressure, flow and mass instrumentation.
3. As the Instrument Project Engineer, you will be able to create and use all types of instrumentation drawing (CAD drawings/schematics).
4. You will have experience in working to ISO9001 standards as well as functional safety standards.


To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Instrument Project Engineer, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and history:


1. Relevant Engineering qualification (HNC, degree) and hands-on Instrumentation maintenance experience.

Field Service Engineer - Decontamination

£30000 - £40000 per annum

Are you a Field Service Engineer? Looking to join an emerging decontamination company covering the London and surrounding area? We currently have a vacancy for a Field Service Engineer to work with a growing decontamination company.

As the Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance and repair of all endoscopy disinfectants and equipment. Your duties as the Service Engineer will be varied, however, key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  1. You will undergo electrical/mechanical fault finding on decontamination equipment on a range of sites across the London and surrounding areas.
  2. You will carry out routine testing, calibration, and validation of equipment to the relevant standards (HTM, WTM)
  3. As the Field Service Engineer, you will carry out calibration of equipment, where necessary along with some installation projects.
  4. You will organise and prioritise a continuously changing workload, ensuring that all customers' calls and inquiries are replied to.

Site Based Service Engineer

Are you a Service Engineer? Looking to join an emerging decontamination company based in a London customer site? We currently have a vacancy for a Service Engineer to work with an established decontamination company.

As the Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance and repair of all endoscopy disinfectant equipment, washer disinfectors and sterilization equipment.

Your duties as the Service Engineer will be varied, however, key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • You will undergo electrical/mechanical fault finding on decontamination equipment while being site-based.

Multi-skilled Production Engineer

Up to £35000 per annum

We are currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Cambridgeshire area. As the Maintenance Engineer, you will be a multi-skilled maintenance engineer responsible for planned and reactive maintenance activities across production and site equipment.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Maintenance Engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Using your multi-skilled engineering skills to perform maintenance activities both planned and reactive across production and site equipment. Ensure GMP standards are kept and documented at all times on site while working a Day shift.

2. Help drive continuous improvement and reliability activities across engineering functions striving for minimal equipment downtime where possible. Be part of driving improvements (equipment and process), eliminating waste and maximising efficiency across the site.

3. Work on various engineering projects when needed driven by the engineering management team.

4. Be part of a company culture that is EH&S conscious and always striving to increase the safety standards and quality across the business

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Maintenance Engineer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in an Engineering discipline - mechanical or electrical - Multi-skilled bias is preferred

2. Proven industry experience in working in a highly regulated GMP environment - Pharma, Food, FMCG, Chemicals

3. A working knowledge and practical experience working as a maintenance engineer across site / production equipment - 17th edition, PLC fault finding, Planned & reactive maintenance activities.
