A Technical Sales Engineer position has just become available for an Automation business that supply into the Automotive sector. Located in Birmingham, this well regarded business will be paying competitive salary to the successful Engineering professional.

Main purpose of the Technical Sales Engineer role -

* Preparation of proposals and quotations through to closure of sales.

Technical Sales Engineer responsibilities include -

* Obtains initial information needed to make a business case for a new opportunity.

  • Read and understand technical drawings.
  • Inspection of first off parts and finished goods using conventional measuring equipment.
  • Compile relevant documents including customer packs and FAIRs (First Article Inspection).
  • Setting & operation of CMM equipment.
  • Identify and report any repeating quality concerns.

Desirable for this opportunity -

  • Experience working within a similar role.
  • Working knowledge using manual measuring equipment (CMM experience desirable).
  • Able to read and work from technical drawings.
  • Good IT/communication skills.
  • Methodical and an attention to detail approach.

  • Work with the various teams on site, evaluating processes/products and implement change's that'll help to ensure the business reaches its annual objectives.
