I manage the Redditch branch of ASC and oversee consultants who focus on permanent and contract Engineering & Manufacturing and Business Support roles. I also support the team recruit for Senior and Executive level positions within these disciplines.

enjoys skiing and going on adventures with my wife and 2 children. Santa Caterina Valfurva, Italy is the best place we've visited. It’s a picture-postcard ski resort.

An interesting fact about me is....

I was sponsored to move to Cairns, Australia, to set up and run an allied health recruitment company.  I stayed for 18 months before returning to the UK to settle with my now wife and children. The company is still going strong.

Team Leader - Nights

£11 - £12 per hour

Production Team Leader required for a rapidly growing business in Redditch!!

Temp to Perm

Managing teams of up to 7 operatives on a production line for an FMCG business that not only makes its own products, but also "own brands" for many major retailers across the UK.

They are constantly adding more automated solutions and lines to the business in order to be able to cope with the growing demand, along with the implementation of Lean processes. This role will suit someone with an understanding of Continuous Improvement / Lean Practices / Six Sigma / Operations Excellence.

Some of your main responsibilities include;

  • Inspection and test of packed product checking product appearance, closure torque, fill weight, seal integrity, boxing and palleting quality with completion of production paperwork, ensuring records are complete, accurate, legible and traceable to the product.
  • Supervising Line Operatives, ensuring they are aware of their duties and communicating any specific product
  • Familiarisation with the corrective action procedure, assisting in the completion of corrective actions, and in the event of product non-conformity, stopping the production line and communicating any concerns to Management.
  • To adhere to SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality) standards
  • Ensure that the PPE necessary for each activity to be carried out is worn at all times.

This is a Temporary to Permanent role paying £11.19 per hour to start and progressing to £12.44 once trained. There is opportunity to be trained to Deputy Supervisor level soon after, which be rewarded with a further pay increase.

You will work 3 nights per week, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights (12 hour shifts);

17:45 - 06:00

36.75 hours per week

A rapidly growing FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) business is looking to expand its warehouse team by adding 2 x Warehouse Supervisors.

Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for a team of 9 Warehouse Operatives who require monitoring, motivating, managing and progressing by an experienced Team Leader / Supervisor.

Some of your main responsibilities are listed below:

  • Carry out PI (Perpetual Inventory) Checks in order to control system accuracy
  • Motivate and develop the team to perform at the highest standards
  • Monitor timekeeping, sickness and holidays to arrange cover where possible
  • Working 3 x 12 hour day shifts you will be required to manage 3 x corresponding night shifts
    • You will need to be flexible to cover the night shift when required or adapt your working hours to ensure new processes and procedures are carried over to the night shift team
  • Infill as necessary; Goods In, Pre-Kitting, Dispatch, as required across the 24 hour period
  • Participate in internal and external audits
    • This includes prep for planned audits, assist as required during audits and take an active role rectifying post audit corrective actions

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Supervisor or Team Leader from a busy warehouse environment. You will be used to dealing with internal stakeholders at all levels, as you will be granted the autonomy to enable you to get the most out of your team, whilst maintaining strong communication levels with managers and subordinates alike.

Are you an experienced Health and Safety Manager with your finger on the pulse of Government Guidance with regards to COVID-19? If you are, please read on£

A globally renowned FMCG manufacturing business with multiple sites in the UK, is looking for a Health and Safety Manager to ensure they remain on top of the ever changing government guidance for protecting their staff and visitors from COVID-19.

They have a group level H&S Team who have stayed ahead of the curve with Risk Assessments, Track & Trace, PPE, staggered breaks and working hours, 1 way systems, 1M rule etc. They're now putting full time H & S Managers onto each site to continue this work throughout the whole of each facility, covering all divisions within the business.

As well as the above, please see some of your other responsibilities below:

  • Leading the Health and Safety Function, advising the management team on all health and safety issues.
  • Chair the site Health & Safety Committee for Coronavirus and be a member of the Management Task Force for Coronavirus
  • Conducting risk assessments across the site including the offices and shop floor; in addition you will help resolve issues about workplace health and safety

The ideal candidate will have Diploma in Safety Management or equivalent, NEBOSH certified, IOSH and MIIRSM. A background in Health & Safety Management within a manufacturing organisation is also essential.

Field Service Engineer - Mechanical

I am currently working with a market leading company in the supply of heavy duty workshop solutions. This company supply heavy duty vehicle lifting machinery and brake testing systems, due to currently undergoing a substantial period of growth they are seeking a Field Service Engineer based in the Stoke and Derby areas.

The Field Service Engineer will travel to different sites on a day to day basis carrying out maintenance, installations, servicing and repairs on heavy duty vehicle lifts used in the bus, truck and coach industries.

As Field Service Engineer your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out preventative maintenance, testing and inspections on heavy duty vehicle lifts.
  • Reactive maintenance and repairs on heavy duty vehicle lifting systems.
  • Travelling to customer sites on a day to day basis ensuring their needs are catered for to a high standard.
  • Giving aftersales support and advice based on the client's needs.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Hands-on experience working in a mechanical service/maintenance type role.
  • Experience working in a workshop/garage environment.
  • Experience working on motor vehicles and or heavy duty vehicles.
  • A full, clean UK driving license.

A manufacturer of automation equipment sold into FMCG businesses across the globe is looking for a Lead Electrician / Fitter to join their constantly growing business. Covering the UK and overseas, you will take a lead on the Electrical Installation of Control Panels on a project basis and whilst you don't have any direct reports, you will be responsible for small teams of fitters on each one.

Your main responsibilities are listed below:

  • Taking a lead on projects and matrix managing assigned teams
  • Plan and report electrical sub-activities
  • 3 phase and flexibar wiring, point to point panel wiring, panel testing and fault finding
  • Panel layout and assembly of components
  • Modifications to hardware and panels whilst on site
  • Electrical Testing and Fault Finding on site
  • IO Testing and electrical commissioning support
  • Writing risk assessments and method statements

You will be a fully qualified and experienced industrial electrician, used to working in the field, taking a lead on various projects across the country and ideally, overseas.

Panel layout & assembly, 3 phase & flexibar wiring, point to point panel wiring and knowledge of hardware such as Rockwell (powerflex drives, PLC's, Control Gear) are all essential requirements for this position.
