Sales Manager Role:

Data analyst / reporting analyst require for my client a West Midlands based financial organisation.

My client is looking to add to their established Data Management & BI Insights teams with data analysts with a genuine passion for the numbers and data, you must love extracting, compiling & analysing data.

As a Data Analyst, you'll be a key member of the Management Information Centre of Excellence in the Finance Department. The data you handle will help support the entire business.

You'll get to work with, and understand the processes enterprise wide at all levels and you'll become an SME in data management, giving you a valuable, highly transferable skill set.

As a Financial Data Analyst - Reporting you will be responsible for:

  • Driving a culture of using information rather than data in finance. Through the provision of information and training people on best practices
  • Developing and maintaining the Data Asset Inventory for the business, identifying processes and data owners.
  • Extracting, compiling and analysing complex data sets to help identify data quality issues
  • Assist with ad hoc project work within the wider finance function.
  • Manage a strong relationship with various functions, working together to deliver evolving data needs

This is a role for someone who wants to progress with their use of data and their ability to extract, compile and create output that is of great use to the business. Linux Systems Engineer

You will take a lead role in operating, improving and developing the local and global platforms. You will be responsible for resolving issues and finding their root causes by the simplest paths while also being enabled to propose and implement technical solutions and platform improvements.

Senior MI / BI Analyst

Senior MI Analyst/Data Analyst require for my client a West Midlands based financial organisation.

My client is looking to add to their established Data Management & BI Insights teams with experienced MI/Data Analysts, individuals who can exploit data to provide innovative and insightful MI solutions within the programme's MI and Data Analysis Practice.

We are looking for you to possess a proven track record in Business Intelligence, Analytics and Data Warehousing with a solid understanding of the technologies, processes and architecture involved, preferably in a financial services environment, including:

  • Requirements Analysis
  • Data Analysis
  • Data modelling, including dimensional modelling (Kimball) and ideally data normalisation techniques (Inmon)
  • Data visualisation, data discovery and dashboards - Cognos would be a significant advantage
  • Data processing, validation, enrichment, standardisation and transformation (ETL) concepts
  • Stakeholder engagement, management and liaison (including both business and project)
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle including both waterfall and agile delivery methodologies (e.g. iterative prototyping, Kanban, Scrum)
  • Training and support of MI & Data Analysts

All candidates must have knowledge or an understanding of Power BI, Data Modelling, IBM Stack, Scripts, SAS, Cognos.

IT Systems Administrator

£270 - £300 per day

Required by my client a Leicester based design & manufacturing business to support the implementation, management and development of core infrastructure components.

A business that have been leading there industry for over 100 years by staying at the forefront of technology are embarking on a significant IT improvement programme and require an experienced systems administrator to support the existing team in the delivery of key projects.

Projects will include:

  • VMware server and software upgrade, including the migration and upgrade of existing virtual machines to the upgraded infrastructure
  • Replacement of the current HP LAN switches with Juniper LAN switches along with the necessary routing changes to improve network performance and manageability
  • Improvements to the existing UPS and power supporting the server room along with a dedicated feed from the local electricity distribution point.

The Systems Administrator will be required to:

  • Plan, develop, implement, oversee and maintain server and network infrastructures and their associated projects.
  • Design, install and configure internal servers and network devices
  • Learning, following, ensuring compliance with Division and Corporate IT Standards
  • Proactively manage and maintain server and network systems
  • Administer and support core Microsoft, Juniper and VMware technologies
  • Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans
  • Design and implement monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions that will assist in a hands-off environment
  • Define and document best practices and support procedures
  • Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation
  • Carry out special tasks at Management's direction

Experience required:

  • Preferably Microsoft Certified (MCSE) or equivalent certification in relevant programs desired.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows Server (2008/2016) /desktop Operating Systems (7/10)
  • Managing server vitalisation technologies specifically VMWare ESX 5.5/6.5
  • A solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking
  • Familiarity with JUNOS operating system (Juniper)
  • Ability to troubleshoot network issues including back bone infrastructure issues
  • LAN Routing and Switching design, configuration and troubleshooting
  • Sarbanes Oxley experience or similar process requiring third party auditing
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
