Export Account Manager

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Export Account Manager to join a global manufacturer based in West Bromwich who are going through a significant period of change. This role requires a candidate who has ample experience in customer account management, order processing fulfilment and shipping.

As Export Account Manager you will have benefits such as 25 days holidays plus bank holidays, generous paid sick scheme, free life assurance. The hours of work are Monday to Friday from 08:45am to 16:30pm- 36 and half hours a week.

As the Export Account Manager -

• Oversee the Customer Service Team who will be preparing export and import documentation, customer orders and any queries which may arise.
• Work alongside all other Senior Management to ensure there is minimal disruption to items being shipped.
• Work towards tight deadlines and be able to manage in a high-pressure environment.
• Build and maintain relationships with international agents and customers- ensuring you are knowledgeable in all current import and export legislation.

To be a successfully selected as Export Account Manager:

• Experience in working within export and shipping in a manufacturing sector is essential.
• Experience in Customer Service Management and Shipping Export role within dangerous goods would be ideal.
• IATA and IMDG Certification is essential.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Packages such as Excel and ideally Sage x3
• Have positive negotiation skills.

A Steel Operative is required for a multi-national steel processing company based in West Bromwich. Operating overhead cranes to move steel around the workplace, feeding the machine lines and loading/unloading vehicles for dispatch.

Duties of the role include;

• Operating overhead cranes to handle steel
• Operating counterbalance forklift trucks
• Helping to load and unload machines
• Loading and unloading vehicles for delivery
• Any other duties as and when required

You will be working on a rotating shift pattern of;

• Monday - Friday 6am - 4pm (1pm finish Fridays)
• Monday - Thursday 6pm - 6am

This role will be;

• Working on a temp-to-perm basis with long term opportunities
• Weekly pay whilst on the agency
• Paying £11.25 on the day shift & £12.78 on the night shift

An Overhead Crane Operator is required for a large internationally trading steel processing company based in the West Bromwich area of the West Midlands.

The experience required and the duties the role will entail include;

• Experience within the steel industry
• Handling steel tubes, bars and billets
• Operating overhead cranes to move steel

• Banding, strapping and general material handling of steel stock

For this position you will need overhead crane experience.

You will be working on days and afternoons rotating, 6:00am - 4:00pm / 10:00am - 8:00pm Monday to Friday.

The rate of pay for this role will be £10.45 per hour to start with.

Once you pass a 13 week probationary period you will be eligible for a permanent contract and your rate of pay and weekly earnings will significantly increase once you pass this probationary period.

Job Duties as their Transport Manager

• Lead the transport team in a creative and dynamic manner to ensure you are keeping the team engaged
• Understands and leverages the company's operating systems and communication devices, ensuring that all reporting staff are using the systems and devices correctly and in full, to the benefit of the operation.
• As Transport Manager oversee cost control and KPI performance, actively seeking to improve efficiency, reduce operating costs, increasing margin whilst meeting budget as a minimum.
• Understands and appreciates customer requirements and quality standards. Engages with internal and external customers to meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Ensures Health and Safety, Environmental and Operator's Licence compliance
• Ensure your team is delivering exception customer service which is measured against business KPIs for Safety, Service and Profitability.
• Understands and meets the company's Operating Licence obligations ensuring that appropriate controls and procedures are rigorously enforced.
• Oversees vehicle management, including liaison with fleet, safe vehicle operations, wheel security, monitors vehicle gross weights.
• Works closely with the warehouse team to ensure that all logistics solutions are fully integrated.
• Consistently promotes and adheres to Company policy, procedure and legislation, including but not limited to, that relating to health and safety.
