As the successful Cloud Support Engineer you will play a key role within the Operations department and have overall responsibility for the delivery of technical projects, including delivery of new technical services and provisioning of customer services.
Cloud Support Engineer Experience & Responsibilities:
Ensure systems are running at peak performance levels and are maintaining a high level of availability.
Provide training and support on internal systems and ensure team processes are adhering to company policies.
Happy to participate in the 24/7 on-call rota, able to act as an escalation point for technical issues and proactively manage events and incidents
Manage risks to customer and company platforms
Have experience of VMware certified (VCP as a minimum), VCloud Director, Vsphere, Windows OS, Linux OS, of supporting databases (MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL etc.), firewalls, load balancing and networking principles
With a proven track record of delivering IT solutions, you will have supported backup technologies and possess scripting skills (Perl, PHP, VBScript, Powershell etc.) With previous experience of working for a Hosting company and manage technical risks to customer platforms.
