Enjoy working in the field? Do you possess the ability to think outside the box when it comes to trouble shooting electronic or electro-mechanical scientific instruments on customer sites typically pharmaceutical and universities?
As the successful Field Service Engineer you will ideally have experience of working within the scientific instrumentation industry. Working from home I am seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to cover the northern territory, everywhere North of Birmingham including some customers in Scotland, so occasional overnight stays will be a requirement of the role along with a valid UK driving licence.
Field Service Engineer Key Requirements
Have experience of scientific instrumentation and a background in electronics or mechatronics
Provide customer training as needed and possess excellent problem solving / diagnosis skills
Experienced of working with customers at their sites in a "live" electrical environment or with PCB instruments / electronics
Good verbal, written communication skills along with excellent time management skills.
Consult with instrument experts, engineering and/or manufacturing personnel as needed for troubleshooting and repairs.
Knowledge of Windows operating systems, basic networking and use of Microsoft Office
