An experienced Toolmaker is required to join a Family run company that specialises in the manufacture of many everyday items for an array of sectors, including injection moulded furniture components.

Looking to become more sustainable and reduce their environmental footprint, they offer an end-to-end solution through their in-house design, tooling and packing facilities.

As a Toolmaker, your duties will include -

• Producing prototypes through to full production as well as service, repair and modification of injection mould tools
• Assessing customer tools and components, investigating the best course of action for repairing or modifying

To be successful in the role of Toolmaker, the ideal candidate will -

• Be a time served / apprentice trained Toolmaker
• Have a strong background in injection mould tool manufacture, repair, and maintenance

• Be competent in the use of manual and standard toolroom equipment (lathes, mills, surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, manual spark eroder)
• Be able to read and understand drawings and models in both 2D and 3D

• Have knowledge of CAD CAM software

A salary £34-39K depending on experience

Flexible day shift: Current Toolmakers tend to work 8am - 5pm, Monday-Friday, but site runs 24/7 so hours can be flexible

The Toolmaker role is commutable from Leicester, Peterborough, Northampton, Oakham and all surrounding areas

Are you an experienced service engineer, looking to join a more organized OEM of CNC machinery? Do you want to be paid door to door for all the hours you work? Do you need to earn over £55K a year OTE?

They have a head office here in the UK for operations and storage.

Responsibilities for the service engineer include -

• Breakdown repairs and maintenance of CNC Machines including multi axis Mills and Lathes
• Routine service and inspections, as well as fault finding
• Carrying out mechanical and minor electrical repairs to ballscrews, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, motors
• Machine levelling and alignments
• Installation and commissioning of machinery on site
• Ordering of parts from the office, replacing and retrofitting
• Providing end user training and customer support both remotely and on site
• Travel from home to site covering regionally to your location on service and breakdown, but be prepared to travel nationally when installation & commissioning projects are required.

They have over 30 trained technicians across the UK, along with office based technical support staff at the end of the phone for troubleshooting support.

Product training provided, along with job shadowing with engineers in the team

We would love to hear from suitable candidates with the following skills and experience

- Previous experience as a CNC service engineer, or service technician
- Confidence with either electrical or mechanical breakdowns of machinery
- Experience working with either FANUC or Siemens controls
- Good knowledge of fault-finding, diagnostics checking and equipment inspections
- Willingness to travel nationally, and be prepared to stay overnight if required
- Clean driving license

No call out is required with this role, weekend overtime has to be pre-authorized by both client and head office before being offered out to the team.

The business are prepared to be as flexible and supportive as possible, overnight stays and extensive travel is ideally kept to a minimum, but the business requires someone who is prepared to do both when necessary.
