As the sole UK agent to a European brand, their CNC machine tools are globally recognized. They have a strong network of service engineers, along with 2 additional technical support staff who are office-based. They have a head office here in the UK for operations and storage.
This role will involve a lot of product training and investment from the company to bring you up to date with their full machine tool range. Once fully trained, this role would require someone flexible enough to work in the UK, Europe and sometimes worldwide depending on projects that are happening.
Responsibilities for the service engineer include -
Product training in Germany will be provided, along with job shadowing with engineers in the team
We would love to hear from suitable candidates with the following skills and experience
- Previous experience as a CNC service engineer, or service technician
- Confidence with either electrical or mechanical breakdowns of machinery
- Experience working with either FANUC or Siemens controls
- Good knowledge of fault-finding, diagnostics checking and equipment inspections
- Willingness to travel in UK, Europe and worldwide, with extensive time away from home when necessary
- Clean driving license
Benefits include an excellent base salary of circa £41K depending on experience, salary review after successful probation, plus an OTE of £55K with overtime weekday / weekends, company vehicle with a choice of car or car allowance, meal allowances, mobile phone & laptop, 33 days holiday, death in service insurance, and a private pension

A hugely successful engineering solutions provider based in the UK, are hiring for an electrical design engineer to join their already established team. Recognised as a true leader for over 100 years, they operate across several countries globally. Here in the UK, they provide their services in various industries including Power & Energy, Pharmaceuticals, Water, Industrial, Food and Beverages and Transportation. There is a robust training package which is largely based around job shadowing other engineers to learn the products, how they're built, but there will also be some overseas training in Finland during the probation period too.
To be successful in this position, we're looking for the following previous experience and skills
- Previously a field service Engineer of capital equipment or heavy industry machinery
- Hold a HNC or HNC electrical or electronic engineering
- Have a solid understanding of PLC's and how to fault find
- A strong knowledge of power supplies, controls and electrical test equipment is essential
- Flexibility to travel nationwide, with occasional overnight stays
- Clean drivers license

Overtime paid at Time & after 40 hours during the week and Saturday, Double Time Sunday

Responsibilities for the CNC Applications Engineer include -

- Applications Engineer, Turning Applications specialist CNC Programmer, CAM Programmer, CNC Manufacturing Engineer
- Ability to programme turning lathes, and ideally machining centres
- Strong knowledge of at least 2 types of CAM software packages
- Experience working with FANUC controls
- Willingness to travel nationally, and be prepared to stay overnight if required
- Clean driving license
