An area sales engineer is required for a rapidly expanding cutting tool manufacturer based in the UK.
The business have a global reach, with distribution channels on every continent. The UK based operation has a team of engineers in the field to provide cutting edge technology and innovation to their clients, across territories and regions.
Reporting directly to the Northern Area Manager, with the primary focus of generating sustained growth and expand current market share by maintaining and developing existing customer relationships and identifying new customers and opportunities, whilst focusing on the North East of the UK and the larger hubs of manufacturing within this area.

Role and responsibilities
Research the market to identify new clients throughout the North East of the UK, who would benefit from our cutting tool expertise
Be proactive, focused and driven to meet targets
Increasing overall revenue and volume of end users of the product
Provide pre and after sales technical assistance, sharing your knowledge of cutting tools
Conducting technical presentations and demonstrating how a cutting tool will meet customer needs.
Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of capital CNC equipment, to maximise sales opportunities
Work alongside colleagues and management to coordinate and deliver marketing campaigns, exhibitions and promotional events
Document cost saving activity and daily use / updating of the CRM system
To be successful in this role, the following skills / experience are required
Previous experience as a cutting tool sales engineer, applications engineer, or CNC Programmer
Be able to confidently demonstrate the product features, and identify solutions to the end user whilst on site
Have a strong awareness of the manufacturing industry in east of Scotland, as well as competitors and distributors
Excellent communication and customer facing skills
Full UK driving license
