Leading South West Manufacturer, employing in excess of 300 members of staff across their two sites are seeking an experienced Production Engineer to support Engineering functions in house and externally.
Reporting directly to the Production Director, the Production Engineer is responsible for supporting in-house production.
Working with the production engineering and lean manufacturing teams, you will ensure successful identification and implementation of best manufacturing practise, you will help review the suitability for manufacture of new products and maintain quality.
Main Duties to Include:
General and Task Management
Identify and present ideas for improving production in order to improve profitability, quality, output or H&S.
Conduct feasibility studies on continuous improvement ideas generated from within Production implement those projects once signed off
Work closely with the Lean team to develop and implement best practices, routines and solutions to improve production rates, quality and output
Support the Production Director, Supervisors and Lean team in evaluating the strategic development of on-site manufacturing
Assist in the production of operating instructions
Produce written reports where required
Undertake continuous training and development
Ensure adherence in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of staff and visitors
Participate in new product reviews to ensure that only the most production efficient designs are released into production
Participate in Change Request reviews to ensure that the best and most cost efficient solutions are adopted without having a negative impact on safety or quality standards
Develop and maintain strong relationships with all internal stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
Work as part of the production engineering team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimise results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards requirements
Stay current and up to date on any technology changes that may affect manufacturing and advise of any impact
Liaise and communicate with other departments, suppliers and other service providers as and when required

Qualifications and Experience Levels:
HNC / HND or equivalent in an Engineering discipline, as a minimum
Experience implementing Manufacturing improvements and Continuous Improvement projects within a batch manufacturing businesses
Experience of working with fabrications with an understanding of related manufacturing processes and limitations
Project management experience and a track record of identifying and successfully implementing change
Previous involvement in New Product introduction would be beneficial
Experience of Value Analysis and Value Engineering techniques, root cause analysis, FMEA, Value Stream Mapping and 8D would be beneficial

Seeking an experienced Group IT Support Technician to assist in the provision and support of day-to-day use of all the Group's IT systems across its multi-site operations - over 200 users across 9 sites plus home and field-based employees.
The successful Group IT Support Technician will be responsible for the administration of the corporate network, servers (physical and virtual), SANs, client installation, configuration and technical support. The IT Support Technician will have previous experience of managing secure networks in a MS-Windows environment in a multi-disciplined organisation.
Group IT Support Technician Skills & Responsibilities:
Build and deploy desktop, mobile and peripheral hardware equipment.
Configure and maintain network routing and switching hardware.
Maintenance of MS-Windows Active Directory including profiles, security groups and Group Policies.
Ensure system backups, anti-virus and malware procedures are continued to be reviewed, tested and upgraded.
Train end users to make appropriate and safe use of the IT infrastructure.
Demonstrable knowledge of Windows Server and desktop operating systems configuration & troubleshooting.
TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, GPO, and Powershell scripting skills are essential for this position.
Knowledge of virtual network technologies, specifically VMware.
Security and backup solutions, particularly, Veeam, Symantec, Watchguard
Experience of MS-Office 2010, 2013 or 2016.
Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, problem-solving and communication skills
