We are currently recruiting for an experienced stores person to take control of a busy warehouse in a large manufacturing company in Alcester.
As an Storeman, You will be responsible for the management and maintenance of high standards in the stores-accounting area. Working directly for the Production Engineering Manager, you will be highly motivated and use your initiative to make good decisions in the meet up and organisation of both materials and data, to ensure we always have the right resources, in the right place, at the right time. Using your IT skills, you will be able to maintain accurate records, forecast scheduled checks and provide positive input to the improvement of the management system.
Monday - Thursday - 8am until 5pm
Friday - 8am until 1pm
Your duties will include but will not be limited to:
Managing project stock locations and project stock levels.
Management of tool stores including stock levels for consumable items,
Ensure full trace-ability for all raw materials in stock.
Support to purchasing team including ordering of materials, parts and services.
Kitting production parts for assembly.
Receiving and booking in goods.
Packing & Dispatch.
Local delivery and pickup of stores and materials.
Open and lockup of workshop building, as required,
Conduct daily and weekly site maintenance activities.
Maintain checks and records for company vehicles.
Health and Safety (Preferred but not essential)
Coordinate the site health and safety management system.
Accident, incident and near-miss reporting and co-ordination.
Co-ordination of skills records and training for site personnel.
Health and Safety committee secretary.
Coordinate external contractor activities.
Conduct site H S inductions.
Co-ordinate testing and maintenance of site equipment.
Must have some level of engineering and have demonstrable practical personal experience - with evidence - e.g restoring cars / tractors / motorbikes.
Previous stores experience being able to demonstrate appropriate practical organisational skills.
Operate dynamically with initiative within a small team.
Basic engineering experience, ability to recognise the difference between different production components and other items, consumables, PPE etc.
Good degree of computer literacy and fluency. Must be able to create forms, reports, templates using MS Word & MS Excel.
Prepared to travel domestically as/when required.
Forklift truck license.
Lifting equipment experience.
Aider or willing to undertake training.
Lean Manufacturing or 5S experience.
Experience of work in ISO9001 controlled organisations.
Formal training or 3 years' experience in a Health and Safety support role
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Problem-solving and ownership-taking mind-set.

Pay and benefits
£20,000 - £25,000 pa subject to experience.

A Supply Chain Administrator position has become available to work for a manufacturer that specialises in the manufacturing of precision tools for use within the medical industry.
Supply Chain Administrator role -
Supporting the Supply Chain team with a wide range of tasks to ensure that the supply chain department functions effectively and delivers a high level of servicing in fulfilling orders for it's customers.
Duties to include -
Printing of all packaging and delivery information on the product.
Assisting in purchasing of services and materials for production.
Inputting of supply chain data onto the system using Microsoft Excel and using the companies own computer system.
Dealing with couriers to ensure product is shipped.
Also other general administration duties including answering the telephone.
