An Electronics Engineer is required to support either the Diffraction, DTS or Imaging Product Lines. As the successful Electronics Customer Engineer you will already be an experienced engineer possessing industry experience and have an understanding of the logic behind the workings of the hardware with training provided on the relevant products/ techniques. This is a great time to be joining an established scientific company. Have a BEng or a degree in an Electronics related subject or equivalent experience.

Taking ownership of all enquiries and tracking problems to a successful conclusion, you will act as deputy for Helpdesk Manager when required and taking ownership of customer issues, working through to a timely resolution and within KPI's.

Electronics Support Engineers Responsibilities:

* Taking ownership of customer issues and working through to a timely resolution within team and company KPI's.
* Experience of using/repairing/ maintaining laboratory instruments is essential
* Have well-developed problem solving and trouble shooting ability
* Working as a team to achieve accurate diagnosis of faults and, where possible, "first time fix" solutions
* Assigning, when required, Field Service Engineers (UK, and International) to a service call.
* Learning and maintaining own technical knowledge across whole product portfolio as well as developing more in-depth knowledge, where required.
* Ensure the smooth running of the shift system and assist the Helpdesk manager with scheduling of holiday and training requirements.
* Good Microsoft Office software skills and any previous experience of using a business management system, such as SAP and SalesForce/ServiceMax would be advantageous

The role of Electronics Engineer will enable you to provide feedback on product quality and design issues. Liaising frequently with service teams, technical support, R&D, applications and manufacturing. Be fluent in English, but other languages would be advantageous. This is a great opportunity to an established Scientific company.
