Contract Project Manager

A leading manufacturer of industrial equipment, is looking to recruit a Contracts Project Manager to join their team.

Purpose of Role:

As Project Manager you will be the company interface between the business & customer ensuring the effective delivery of customer orders in line with contractual commercial terms (OTIF) without compromising quality.

The Successful Candidate will have:

* Experienced Project Manager in a manufacturing/engineering environment



* Project Management qualification e.g. PRINCE 2
* Conversant and happy to complete relevant PM paperwork/administration as required including but not limited to customer orders & invoicing
* Experience of shipping and aware of varied contractual terms and different international requirements

* Prepared to travel to customer sites on an infrequent basis

Responsibilities:



* Lead the Commercial interface on all projects with the Customer, providing a professional and effective point of contact with ownership for delivery that targets 100% OTIF and quality adherence.

* Develop & implement best in class Project Management tools including the use of detailed project plans, the management of routine project reviews and the maintenance of thorough & accurate project/contract files and records.

* Review order requirements, co-ordinate assignments and establish accountabilities for Quotes, Sales, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Procurement, Production, Shipping and Service.

* Manage order/contract amendments and where appropriate capture revenue opportunities for additional sales.

* Manage and report on project costs adherence ensuring quoted margin is achieved - capture improvement opportunities within BoM's & Routings and ensure corrections are implemented.

* Monitor the progress of project equipment through design & build process and help resolve any issues impacting progress.

* Oversee production processes, suggesting changes in working methods or sequences in order to improve efficiencies of project timelines.

* Liaise with the Finance Department to ensure that all shipping and financial documents are acceptable to satisfy revenue recognition purposes.

* Co-ordinate and maintain all Contract documents and design change information related to a project.

* Support the Proposals Engineers in the drafting and issue of project proposals, tenders, budgets and preliminary schedules

* Ensure all contract and commercial compliance is achieved for each project with appropriate supporting documentation / certification - including legal compliance where appropriate.
