A multi‐tasking role requiring a well organised person with excellent communication skills (written &
verbal), a high and current technical knowledge gained preferably within a engineering
metrology/quality environment and an aptitude for selling a World leading software designed to
provide customers with the best statistical software solution and productivity advantages. This role
involves establishing requirements, quotation and delivery/installation.

This role is within a sales team and although given specific responsibilities and core duties it may
prove necessary at times to support others with training or assistance as and when needs demand.
It is expected that skills specific to our field of expertise already exist and can be demonstrated.

Specific
responsibilities

 To cover the UK mainland Southern Region and occasionally Eire as defined by postcodes and to
utilise both showroom facilities to suit customer convenience.
 Sale of software and associated hardware products including USB/RS232
multiplexers, U‐Wave wireless devices etc.
 Support existing customer base to better utilise the software to drive process improvement,
which in turn reduces scrap, minimises lost time and improves profitability.
 Deploy software on customer clients and servers utilising Windows 7 and
Windows 10 operating systems. Installation also includes the configuration of SQL databases,
connection to capital equipment and connection to 3rd party machines and
equipment.
 Deliver onsite support to customer on their premises tailored to their business and parts
manufactured.
 To work with and utilise the specific skill sets of other colleagues as, when and where required
to support Sales or customer requirements.
 To maintain currency of knowledge in measurement techniques and best practice.
 Achieve Sales targets (set by Company management). Targets are normally reviewed annually.
 Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times including smart business attire and
all aspects of personal presentation and hygiene.
 To maintain record of activity using the Company CRM system ensuring validity of Opportunities,
forecasting, contacts etc. To work in partnership with Regional Technical Sales Engineers and an
Internal Support desk to maximise opportunity potential.
 To maintain knowledge of competitor products/methodologies to enable the promotion of MUK
alternatives where ever possible and articulate in a constructive and positive manner.
