Business Development Manager

A leading global manufacturer of safety critical solutions is looking to recruit an experienced, results driven & ambitious Business Development Manager to join their team.

This role provides the successful candidate the opportunity to work from home when not on visits, but must be prepared and able to attend company offices when required for meetings/training.

Purpose of Role:

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing existing key accounts, developing new business as well as support the Aftersales function.

To be successful, you will have Project Management experience - managing projects you bring into the business from initial customer enquiry through to delivery to the client.

Skills / Experience/ Person Attributes:

* Proven experience in a technical sales role with a demonstrable track record of success ideally gained in one of the following industries: Racking/Storage, Materials Handling, Office Furniture, Commercial Fit-outs (however other industry also considered)
* Must have experience of managing projects from customer enquiry through to delivery
* Dynamic, Driven & Results-Orientated
* 2D AutoCAD
* Able to travel UK extensively & infrequently overseas to attend customer visits & exhibitions


* Grow new business and support existing customers
* Project manage new incoming projects from customer enquiry/lead generation to project completion & delivery
* Develop sales strategies to ensure both you and the business meet set targets & KPI's
* Market Research
* Identify both risks and opportunities for the business
* Provide regular reporting updates to Management on forecasts and project delivery updates ensuring any issues on delivery is reported as soon as possible
