Quality Engineer

(Attractive Package - Based on Experience)

A globally recognised manufacturer of specialist machinery, is currently experiencing rapid growth & going through an exciting development phase. To manage the increased demand we are now looking to recruit an experienced Quality Engineer to join their established team.

This role will require regular travel predominantly in the UK but occassional overseas as well.

Purpose of Role:

As Quality Engineer you will be responsible for carrying out inspections both on site and at supplier locations, which are based both in the UK and Overseas as required.

You will also assist in managing, maintaining & upgrading Quality Management Systems.

Experience Required:

* Experienced Quality Engineer in a Manufacturing/Engineering environment
* Full working knowledge of ISO9001:2015
* Supplier Visits
* Competent in Quality Management Systems (ISO9001:2015)
* Hands-on knowledge & experience of Quality Inspection procedures and processes
* Have own vehicle to undertake travel regularly throughout the UK
* Ability to travel overseas when required (occasionally)
* Able and willing to stay away from home on occasion when required
* Be IT Literate - MS Office

Job Responsibilities:

* Detailed inspection & marking of manufactured items both onsite and at supplier premises to ensure they conform to strict defined quality requirements according to engineering drawings, product specifications, business processes & verbal instructions.
* Production of detailed inspection reports for each visit made and store electronically for easy reference highlighting actions required by both suppliers & the company to ensure compliance.
* Ensure any non-conforming products are either successfully replaced.
* Liaise with Engineering, Contracts & Purchasing to ensure successful resolution of any quality-based issues.
* Internal & External Quality System audits to ensure compliance to ISO 9001:2015
* Produce monthly Supplier performance figures (spreadsheets) relating to quality and delivery
* Goods receiving inspection as required
* Prepare & implement bespoke inspection instructions for various items of plant/equipment.
* Maintain calibration system of company equipment
