A renowned manufacturer of HVAC systems requires a Technical Support Engineer to join their team in Warwickshire. Are you a Service Engineer who's had enough of being on the road and would like an office based support role then this could be the ideal step to management or have you been working in a similar role within this industry sector.

Technical Support Engineer

Role core purpose: To ensure high standards of customer care for installed climate systems products in all markets served. Advisory role on customer technical issues from pre sales to on site servicing and warranty work. To provide a conduit between the customer and our Engineering and Sales teams.

Service Administration

* Allocate work to service engineers, managing diaries appropriately to cover geographic locations
* Co-ordinate third party service contractors to attend site on behalf of the company
* Collate site engineers' site visit reports, maintaining a database of work undertaken to help identify repeat quality issues and raise these with Senior Managers
* Complete risk assessment and method statements where required
* Manage component part stock to ensure accurate inventory control is maintained in the business, using SysPro to book goods in and out of Service stock
* Manage the return of faulty products, deciding whether they can be repaired, stripped down for parts or scrapped

Technical/Commercial Support

* Answer customers' technical queries on the phone and provide other internal sales and after sales support
* Communicate with technical support teams in the company to resolve technical queries
* Provide the first point of contact for reported faults over the phone to understand the enquiry and take relevant action as appropriate
* Help customers install to best practice

* Develop a higher level of product technical knowledge within the business
* Assist in external training sessions

Site Service Function

* The role may include out of hours working to support service technicians as required
* Proactively resolve issues on site
* Maintain and enhance company reputation at all times
* Decisions and actions to be commercially considered

Product Design

* Work between factory, sales and customers on any free issue projects, reviewing any components, generating composite wiring diagrams and handling any sheet metal changes
* Carry out any identified engineering changes and product testing to new and existing products
* Undertake any changes to existing BIM models from the company's product range
