A leading manufacturing company to the construction industry requires an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Tamworth. Double Days £35,000 - £38,000

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Objectives of the Role

We are looking for a multi skilled engineer. The objectives of the role are:

* To repair, maintain and service any equipment, associated with the manufacture of the company products. Support, instruct and train where necessary any personnel associated with the equipment
* To carry out PPM inspections to schedule
* To participate in the continuous improvement activity to assure the sites efficiency, driving down manufacturing costs and improving the production process, remove waste materials and controlling the 7 wastes.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Carry out maintenance function adopting safe working practices

Perform effectively in a Lean Manufacturing Environment

Identify opportunities to reduce unplanned downtime and improve machines performance

Work alongside the management team to improve Health, Safety and Environmental obligations,protecting the business, staff and assets

Liaise with internal customers to ensure effective communication of work carried out

Key Skills and Experiences

Knowledge/Experience/Key Skills/Personal Attributes



Essential

Experience in Fault Finding on plant and machinery, both mechanical and electrical

Ability to read Electrical drawings, Ladder and Pneumatic diagrams

Time served Multi skilled Electrical and Mechanical qualifications( Min C&G Level3)

Experience working in the Factory environment

Excellent Team Worker/Communicator



Desirable

Lean Manufacturing Systems Trained

City and Guilds , Electrical and or Mechanical

Health and Safety Qualification

COSHH awareness

Business Improvement Techniques Level 2

IT Awareness

MEWP License

FLT Driving Licence



Double Day Shift 06:00am 2:30pm & 2:30pm 10:30pm
