A Quality Manager position has just become available for a specialist and well established manufacturing business, located in the Barnsley area. This well regarded business will be paying a starting salary of £45,000 (negotiable) package, to the successful Engineering professional.

Overview of Quality Manager position-

* Achieve the level of quality, required to meet with customer expectations.
* Develop and maintain the Quality Management Systems on site.
* Manage and mentor the Quality team from the Application of Quality Engineering, Systems, Products, Processes and overall supplier management.
* Run audits and manage Part and Process issues.
* Work closely with all teams, ensuring alignment towards a continuous improvement in quality performance.
* Implement Quality tools such as 8D, 5Y, APQP, PPAP.
* Deal with any internal/external Quality investigations with effective containment and effective prevention actions.
* Keep abreast of Internal/External compliance and business related quality standards

Quality Manager desirable skills/experience/attributes -

* Experience working within a similar role, ideally with the Automotive, Aerospace or General Fabrication area.
* Good understanding of standards such as ISO 9001
* Experience driving continuous quality improvement, within the manufacturing environment.
* Auditing knowledge and/or experience.
* Able to use Quality tools such as PPAP, APQP, DFMEA
* Strong communication skills and commercial awareness.
* Proactive work ethic and natural problem solver.
* Engineering, or relevant education within a technical division.
