A Project Quality Engineer Job opportunity (Contract) has just become available, within a world leading service provider. Located near the Doncaster area, this ever expanding business is offering a competitive hourly rate of £40 per hour, for the right engineering professional.

Purpose of the Project Quality Engineer role -

* To provide both technical and leadership assistance, to a specified Project team, in order to achieve Quality and Performance goals.

Project Quality Engineer responsibilities include -

* Co-ordination of the implementation and development of the Quality Plan for a Project.
* Management and a timely resolution of quality issues recognised within the project area.
* Act as the interface between the quality functional resources, required to support the project area.
* Produce as required, progress reports within the project.
* Provide Quality support to other functions within the project, as/when required.
* Provide support to the Project Management, on the Inter-face with customers on a quality focus.
* Help drive with continuous improvement Initiatives, to meet all Project Objectives.
* Develop and maintain KPI's, to monitor Quality performance of the project in hand.
* Co-ordinate a Material Review meeting on a weekly basis, to deal with any non-conforming parts.
* Manage a team of Quality Control Inspectors.

Project Quality Engineer desirable Skills/experience/attributes -

* Relevant manufacturing/engineering education/experience.
* ISO 9000 and process audit trained, with a working knowledge of Quality systems.
* Working knowledge of structured Problem solving, SPC techniques and measurement methods.
* An understanding of Continuous improvement, Lean and 6 sigma Manufacturing techniques/applications.
* Proven track record of projects work, including helping manage third party suppliers.
* Good interpersonal/communication/negotiation skills.
* Pro-active work ethic and natural problem solver.
