Job Description

A well-known, global, automotive retail business based in Solihull require an Operations Administrator to work out of their Solihull HQ on an ongoing temporary basis to support their client base with new order processing.

As the Operations Administrator you will deal with business to business inbound customer queries via email and telephone and ensure the accurate processing of orders. The business pride themselves on the highest level of service to its customers and expects this from its staff.

You will initially work from the office 5 days a week during training, once up to speed you will work 3 days from the office and 2 from home.

Required Duties on a daily basis:

  • Being the first point of contact with customers, taking orders and processing these on their in house ordering system.
  • Accurately input data on the system ensuring the orders are correct first time. Customer orders at times can be quite urgent so you need to avoid delays on the process.
  • Assist any colleagues that require help when using new systems or provide further training if needed.
  • Pay attention to detail when dealing with queries that have a fixed time scale. Once the query has been dealt with identify how the same problem can be prevented from happening in the future.
  • Use Excel to produce reports and pivot tables when needed.
  • Communicate clearly when working with internal departments, so that all orders are successfully dealt with.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Strong problem solving capabilities
  • Able to challenge decisions and handle conflict
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Capable of working effectively under pressure
  • Highly proficient in Excel - able to produce pivot tables
  • Proficient user of PowerPoint - able to produce and deliver presentations
  • Experience of working towards targets

Hours: 8.30am-4.45PM Mon to Thurs & 8.30am-3.30pm on Fridays
