We're looking for a technical sales engineer with the capability of understanding tooling requirements, and be able to demonstrate the features and benefits whilst on site with a customer.

This role is fully remote, working from home and site based with clients which will require nationwide travel and overnight stays at times. Occasional head office visits may be required to collect new stock, brochures and marketing materials.

Technical Sales Engineer responsibilities include -

  • Maintaining and developing relationships with the current client base
  • Increasing sales and volume of end users of the product
  • Actively deliver technical tooling solutions to customers whilst on site
  • Identify and develop your own leads with new or existing customers
  • Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of capital machine tool equipment, to maximise sales opportunities
  • Work alongside colleagues and management to coordinate and deliver marketing campaigns, exhibitions and promotional events
  • Document cost saving activity and daily use / updating of the CRM system

To be successful as a Technical Sales Engineer, the ideal candidate will possess -

- Previous experience as a cutting tool sales engineer, applications engineer, or area sales
- Be able to confidently demonstrate features & benefits, and identify solutions to the end user whilst on site
- Have a strong awareness of the manufacturing industry in the midlands, as well as competitors and distributors
- Excellent communication and customer facing skills
- Full UK driving license
