The business are a global OEM of ultra modern CNC machinery, with distribution channels on every continent. The UK based operation has a hugely established team of engineers, technical support, sales and applications staff in the field to provide cutting edge technology and innovation to their clients, across various industries including steel manufacturing.

We're looking for a field sales engineer with the ability to build relationships with a huge base of existing clients, along with the capability of understanding customer requirements, to effectively sell modifications, add-on's and care packages.

This role is fully remote, working from home and site based with clients which will require nationwide travel and overnight stays at times. Occasional head office visits may be required to collect new stock, brochures and marketing materials.

Field Sales Engineer responsibilities include -

  • Maintaining and developing relationships with the current client base
  • Increasing sales and volume of end users of the products
  • Actively deliver technical solutions to customers whilst on site
  • Identify and develop your own leads with existing customers
  • Work alongside colleagues and management to effectively hit targets
  • Document and record activity, pipelines and figures with daily use / updating of the CRM system

To be successful as Field Sales Engineer, the ideal candidate will possess -

- Previous experience as a technical sales engineer, or field sales of technical products
- Be able to confidently demonstrate features & benefits, and identify solutions to the end user whilst on site
- A willingness to learn and develop a strong knowledge of capital machine tool equipment
- Have a strong awareness of the manufacturing industry in the midlands and other parts of the UK
- Excellent communication and customer facing skills
- Full UK driving license
