Job Description

Head of Sales required for an online B2B Ecommerce business, providing a global marketplace for over 200 top brands. You will plan & deliver key growth sales strategies and tactics whilst ensuring that new business is sourced and brought onboard in line with revenue targets.

Responsibilities as their Head of Sales will include:

Defining the sales strategy and management of the Business Development Team in line with the business's growth plans. Ensuring that new business is sourced and on boarded in line with revenue targets, translation targets are met and that suppliers perform with the companies SLA.

Use sales analysis on current suppliers to get a better understanding of what works with our suppliers and give a basis to how we prioritise on boarding new suppliers and current supplier workload.

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
  • Understand category-specific landscapes and trends
  • Reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts
  • Lead and motivate the Business Development Team to develop customer relations, increase market share and revenue
  • Design programmes to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Analyse market trends and results to determine annual profit plans

Experience Required:

  • Previous experience as a Sales Manager or Director or Head of Sales
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the business
  • Proven ability to drive the process from plan to close
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
  • Proven ability to position products against competitors
  • Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
  • Previous experience of managing and motivating a team
  • Understanding of B2B e-commerce
  • Demonstrate active listening skills, highly consultative and solutions-oriented

This role would suit Sales Managers, Directors or Heads of sales within a B2b Ecommerce environment within commutable distance of Leicestershire.
