Please be aware this role is based anywhere in Ireland and a home based Sales role.

A fantastic opportunity exists for a Sales Account Manager to join a global brand based in Ireland. The company is a rapidly expanding global instrumentation controls and automation business within the renewable Energy, Oil and Gas sectors and is looking to boost the sales and account management team.

Please be aware that this role is a mixed Field Sales and existing account management role so you will be expected to have a strong field sales background to be considered for the role. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge in Energy, Oil and Gas, FMCG or Water Sales and have a good understanding of instrumentation product knowledge.

The role:

Create and realise account and industry plan. Visit customers to acquire relevant information on the customer needs, present company portfolio and obtain Request for Quotation (RFQ). Realise order intake/sell products, in line with personal target and assigned territories and/or accounts, resulting in revenue/maximise margin.

Create an annual sales plan (order intake/sales revenue and margin targets) in line with the Regional and Business Unit's plans for the financial year including agreed tactical action plans, and calendar of events clearly demonstrating the actual progress made against plan.

Duties will include:

Set up operational sales plan and quarterly review. Targets set for; retention of existing customers; penetration of existing customers; acquisition of new customers. Targets per product by OI/Sales Revenue/Margin. Percentage of time allocated to face-to-face or phone-to-phone meetings with those customers. Create business opportunities by direct approach of customers and sales calls. Use CRM system to measure number of customer visits, number of demonstrations made and number of quotations made. Set closure rate targets and monitor through CRM system.

Visit prospects and customers in line with identified sales opportunities. Clearly identify customer needs, ensuring effective demonstration of proposed solution, followed by quotation in line with technical and commercial guidelines.


Competitive basic salary of £57000 plus company car, bonus, healthcare and pension plus other basic benefits.
