Job Description

A Senior Buyer is required for a global manufacturing company based near Dunstable. Ideally, the successful candidate will be a member of CIPS and have experience of leading a small purchasing team.

This is a full time and permanent role.

The main requirements, duties and skills of the Senior Buyer include:

  • Purchasing goods and services
  • Supervising and leading a small procurement team
  • Managing and overseeing negotiations with new and current suppliers
  • To ensure the team are compliant with government laws and regulations
  • Regular supplier audits and reviews
  • Managing cost activity and cost comparison
  • Lead, mentor and support staff
  • Working to KPI's

In addition to the above duties, the successful Senior Buyer will also deputise for the Supply Chain Manager.
