Quality Engineer

A global manufacturer of safety critical components, is looking to strengthen its team with the appointment of an experienced Quality Engineer.

The Successful Candidate:

* Experienced Quality Engineer in either Automotive OR Aerospace manufacturing environment
* Knowledge & Experience of TS16949 OR AS9100 standards
* Understanding of ISO14001
* Internal Auditing
* Problem Solving Techniques/Tools
* Non Conformance management
* Quality tools to include Process flow diagrams, Control plans, FMEA, SPC, 8D

Responsibilities Overview:

* Support engineering in the development of procedures, process flow diagrams, control plans, FMEA & SPC on projects
* Support the development of Quality on New Product Introduction projects, including control plans
* Review quality requirements within customer documents
* Support Operations & Engineering in establishing processes and procedures for NPI
* Support Engineering in the development of first off inspection reports
* Support the introduction of development projects into large volume production
* Support the establishment, monitoring & maintenance of the company's Quality Standards within Operations
* Develop the company's Quality procedures and management system to ensure that best practice is achieved within all business areas
* Undertake audits
* Produce appropriate metrics & reports to facilitate Continuous Improvement and clearly communicate actions & progress

* Prevent quality issues by managing containment & root cause countermeasures
* Eliminate inspection activities through the implementation of robust quality processes
* Ensure adherence to the Quality Management System within their respective value streams
* Be the point of contact for customers throughout all stages of product life cycle
