Business Development Manager

A leading global manufacturer of electronic safety critical solutions is looking to recruit an experienced, results driven & ambitious Business Development Manager to join their team.

This role provides the successful candidate the opportunity to work from home when not on visits, but must be prepared & able to attend the manufacturing plant on occasion for meetings.

However, should you wish to relocate to the beautiful South East Coast, a RELOCATION PACKAGE IS ON OFFER!

This role will require regular travel across the UK / occasional overseas for short periods.

Purpose of Role:

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for growing both existing & new markets to generate revenue in line with operational & strategic objectives by maximising margins on all new business opportunities.

You will identify & present to the Head of Sales any new potential business opportunities that may require investment in either manufacturing technology or new product development

Skills / Experience/ Person Attributes:

* Background in a technical field sales role with proven success, with experience in the Electronics manufacturing industry
* Experience of Opto-Electronics
* Demonstrable knowledge with contacts in various Electronics markets, for example, Aerospace, Defence, Oil & Gas, Power Generation

* Ability to travel
* Ability to gain Security Clearance

Responsibilities:

* New Business Generation to meet market growth objectives
* Sales planning & lead generation/qualification
* Present monthly forecast data
* Produce customer visit reports & maintain accurate customer based data
* Undertake Sales & Marketing Research to: -
* Identify potential new customers, programmes, products and markets.
* Negotiate customer T&C's.
* Identify and advise Senior Management of all new market opportunities
* Proactively manage new customer expectations
* Attend exhibitions, seminars trade shows etc.
