A leading global manufacturer of electronic safety critical solutions is looking to recruit an experienced Production Manager to join their team.

Purpose of Role:

The Production Manager will be responsible for the training, management & development of manufacturing personnel and ensure they are resourced effectively to maximise output to meet customer requirements and company objectives.

You will drive Continuous Improvement programs to reduce manufacturing costs in order to maximise margins

Skills / Experience / Person Attributes:

* Experience in a Production/Manufacturing Management/Leader position within either the Electronics, Aerospace OR Defence sectors

* Experienced leader of manufacturing teams

* Lean Practitioner with a proven track record in continuous improvement

* Ability to gain Security Clearance

Responsibilities:

* Motivate, mentor & develop all manufacturing personnel to establish a flexible team able to readily adapt to changing business needs
* Identify, plan and implement lean & continuous improvement opportunities in the manufacturing operation
* Chair regular production meetings to ensure output targets are met, addressing any exceptions to plan with robust corrective actions to achieve 100% OTIF
* Provide clear reporting of manufacturing progress against agreed plans clearly identifying all risks and mitigation plans to stakeholders
* Maintain 5S implementation
* Work with HR to produce staff development programs, succession planning & performance management objectives
* New Product Introduction
* Attend customer visits where necessary & promote the company and its products
