Project Engineer

A leading manufacturer established for over 150 years with a global presence, are looking to expand their team with the appointment of an experienced Project Engineer due to continued growth.

In the role of Project Engineer you will:

  • · Produce drawings / models according to customer orders
  • · Co-Ordinate a multi-disciplinary team which includes Quality, Procurement, Production and

Logistics to ensure on time delivery of goods/products

  • · Review Customer Purchase Order amendments
  • · Review and advise on electrical panels and wiring
  • · Work with Production to revise assembly and parts lists drawings to correspond to change

made to detail drawings and bills of materials.

  • · Handle customer requests/complaints and carry out corrective actions as required
  • · Attend meetings with Customers & Suppliers regarding specific project issues
  • · Prepare bills of material as well as revised submittals to the customer for approval.
  • · Identify issues which may impact on time delivery of projects to customers and carry out

relevant actions to correct

  • · Monitor project costings and advise management on any deviations
  • · Prepare project timing plans and product cost comparisons
  • · Create test procedures for projects and oversee factory acceptance tests
  • · Oversee Production processes, suggesting improvements to enhance efficiency of project

timelines

  • · Produce all Engineering documents and design change information at the plant
  • · Create functional descriptions/procedures for specific projects

Experience/Skills/Knowledge required to be successful:

  • Experienced Project Engineer, Production/Manufacturing Engineer, Industrial Engineer,
  • Project Manager in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be experienced in creating design drawings and models using 3D CAD software
  • Project Management experience from concept to delivery, managing a number of project simultaneously
  • Bills of Materials (BOM)
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications
