Jigging Assembly Operative / Aston / Temp to Perm / £8.91 - £11.78 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a Jigging Assembly Operative to join a world leading surface engineering and heat treatment specialist located in the Aston area of Birmingham.

You will be responsible for assembling pre-made jigs with automotive components.

Duties for this role include;

  • Assembling of pre-made jigs with automotive components
  • Visual checking and inspection of the products
  • Packing, and general warehouse duties
  • Operating machinery to "blast clean" components
  • Other workshop duties as and when required

You will need to have experience within a fast paced, pressurised, manufacturing company, working within assembly. If you have similar experience within an automotive company that will be greatly beneficial to your application, though any pressurised assembly position will be considered.

The role is a temp to perm contract with permanent positions available after completion of a 13 week probationary period.

You will be working on straight days initially of 8am - 4pm, starting on £8.91 per hour. This will be during your few weeks of training.

Once you have settled in you will move on to a different shift pattern of your choosing. The two choices would be;

Double Days - 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm rotating weekly paying £10.40 per hour.

OR Permanent Nights working 10pm - 6am, paying £11.78 per hour.
