Job Description

A Site Engineer is required for huge engineering company based near the Redditch area. The position is supporting the Facilities manager with daily maintenance and service to non-production equipment and facilities on site. Permanent role working Mon to Fri, paying up to £28K basic plus a solid benefits package.

The company

Working within a modern manufacturing facility with a solid infrastructure of maintenance within the business, you'll be supporting the facilities manager with daily facilities maintenance and inspection, ensuring that all facilities are maintained to quality, health and safety and required procedural standards.
The role


Purpose of the facilities engineer include -


Daily operation and maintenance activities of all services, utility equipment, control systems and infrastructure within the non-core facilities and utilities areas
Installation and maintenance and service of equipment that provide steam, hot water, heating, cooling, refrigeration, compressed air, and waste management services
Ensure root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques are carried out to maximise the efficiency and safety of plant and machinery.
Ensure efficient plant operation and compliance to Client and legislative Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements.
To assist and drive business and system improvements and site continuous improvement agendas and initiatives for the effective benefit to the client site.
Use of CMMS for daily activity recording
Contribute toward improvements in breakdown reduction & asset reliability and availability.
Safely managing contractors and agency workers on site when requested.

The suitable candidate

The ideal site engineer will have the following demonstrable skills

A strong background within an industrial building services environment, with competence in building maintenance, metalwork and pipe work preparation and installation
Experience operating and maintaining facility and utility plant and machinery including but not limited to, Effluent Plant, Boiler House, Refrigeration and Compressed Air plant.
Industry recognised IPAF, PASMA, CSCS, H&S experience and qualifications.
Have good knowledge of building service and infrastructure equipment including; HVAC; refrigeration; DH&CWS, heating and plumbed systems.
Good working knowledge of Health Safety and Environmental responsibilities, including but not limited to, PUWER, LOLER, Electricity at Work, working at height.
Understanding and working knowledge of maintenance procedures, record keeping, Permit to Work (PTW) and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.

Working hours are 40hrs per week Mon to Fri

Package on offer

Basic salary of up to £28K
Overtime paid for weekday and saturday, double time sunday
