This leading manufacturer of parts to the automotive industry is currently seeking an experienced Quality Manager due to an internal promotion. The role will report into the Quality Director, and will manage 9 staff members.
The Quality Manager will be responsible for the daily management of the quality department to ensure that the needs of the business are met, both in terms of quality and environmental management system accreditation and operational product and process quality.

As Quality Manager your duties will include

* Management of the Quality Team and all matters relevant to the Department to ensure professional and efficient service to both internal and external customers to ensure that the needs of the business are met, both in terms of quality and environmental management system accreditation and operational product and process quality.
* Continual improvement of Quality performance including representing the company on any customer or supplier visits.
* Ensuring that the processes needed for the quality management system are established, implemented and maintained.
* Lead Quality improvement projects to eliminate scrap and rejects.
* Develop and manage an audit programme and maintain it on schedule.
* Reporting to the board of directors on the performance of the quality management system and advising on the need for any improvements or changes.
* Keeping the business updated with any legislative changes to quality and environmental systems
* Support of APQP Engineers in the progression of APQP Projects Management
* New Product Introduction supporting APQP Engineers and liaising with Project Managers
* Retain recognised Quality standards including IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001.

To be successful in the role of Quality Manager, the ideal Candidate will -

* Have a proven track record in driving quality improvements in a Quality Management position within an automotive manufacturing environment.
* Hold Degree level qualification or equivalent experience
* Have a CIQA qualification
* Have a full working knowledge and understanding of APQP, FMEA, MSA, Control Plans and SPC
* Have excellent leadership and management skills

Due to the nature of the business you will need to be reliable, flexible with good timekeeping and you must be prepared for solo foreign travel at short notice when required, therefore a current valid passport and full driving licence is required.
