A well established precision engineering company based near Hinckley, is seeking an experienced CNC Setter Operator to join their rapidly expanding team. The role is working days Mon to Thurs 39hrs p/w, paying £12.86 p/h, along with uncapped overtime and other benefits.
Established for over 50 years and employing over 60 staff across the site, they're part of a group of companies with a specialism in precision components Tier 1 for the aerospace and marine industries. Working to various ISO quality standards, they hold various accreditation's, and are also a recognised supplier to huge Aircraft companies globally.
Responsibilities of the CNC Setter Operator include -
Setting up and operating of a CNC Milling Machine with Heidenhain controls
Calling up programmes, making modifications, adjustments and edits as required
Performing tooling and jig changes, datums, inserts and tip changes as required
High frequency setup and breakdown of jobs daily, for both low and one off components
Machining of expensive materials including inconel, stainless, aluminium, titanium and others
First off part for approval, using quality measuring equipment and gauges
Working from detailed engineering drawings and job route cards
General upkeep and maintenance of the CNC Machinery
Working hours are 7:15am - 5pm Mon to Thurs 39hrs p/w, however the company also have a 5 day shift from 8am - 4:45pm Mon to Thurs, with a 12pm finish on Fri.
The Suitable Candidate
Suitable candidates will be able to provide the following demonstrable skills -
A strong background within CNC machining of components within a high quality, low volume production environment
Knowledge / experience within the aerospace industry
Experience with CNC machining centres and be conversant with Heidenhain controls
Be able to demonstrate experience with editing and modifying programmes
Experience with quality inspection of all own work using tools and gauges
Flexibility towards overtime when available
Package on offer
Hourly rate of £12.86 p/h, increasing to £13.36 p/h once you achieve an inspection stamps for Aerospace standards
Overtime paid at Time & 1/3 weekday, Time & 1/2 Saturday, Time & 2/3 Sunday
