Across England and Wales, you will attend Planned & Preventative Maintenance schedules as well as respond to breakdowns. Assisted by an office-based team, you will take a lead on prioritising and managing your diary to ensure all jobs are arranged and covered.
No Weekends!!!
You work Monday to Friday and if all jobs are covered, you get to dictate your working hours and are granted full autonomy.

You'll will be required to travel regionally, and occasionally nationwide to install, commission and repair of CNC Grinding machinery, which are supplied to the manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities for the Service Engineer include -
There is a robust training package which is largely based around job shadowing other CNC engineers to learn the products, how they're built, and all the machines come with manuals, software guidance and technical support from engineers at HQ. Occasional trips overseas to Germany for training and development too.
To be successful in this position, we're looking for the following previous experience and skills
- Previously a field service Engineer of capital equipment, ideally CNC or heavy industry machinery
- Hold a recognized mechanical qualification
- Have a solid understanding of how to fault find electrically
- Flexibility to travel nationwide, with occasional overnight stays
- Clean drivers license

A huge player in the industry, their CNC machine tools are globally recognized. They have a strong network of service engineers, along with additional technical support staff who are office-based. They have a head office here in the UK for operations and storage.
This role will involve a lot of product training and investment from the company to bring you up to date with their full machine tool range. Once fully trained, this role would require someone to support on both installations and breakdowns.

Responsibilities for the service engineer include -
All PPM work is planned at least 2 months in advance, so the engineer will have an exact plan of where they are required to be the following week.
We would love to hear from you've previously worked in any of the following roles -
- Service Engineer, Service Technician, Maintenance Engineer, Field Technician, CNC Engineer
- Mechanically bias, ideally holding an NVQ level 3 or equivalent in mechanical engineering
- Good knowledge of fault finding, inspection and general machine tool maintenance
- Willingness to travel nationally, and to Ireland and be prepared to stay overnight if required
- Clean driving license
Standard working hours are 40 per week, general expectancy to arrive on site by 8:30am.
The business are prepared to be as flexible and supportive as possible, overnight stays and extensive travel is ideally kept to a minimum, but the business requires an individual who is prepared to do both when necessary. In return the company can be equally flexible when needing time off or working around other engagements
