Job Title: Product Development Manager

A global manufacturer and supplier of Remote Monitoring Systems is looking for an experienced Product Development Manager to help ensure the company continues to evolve and innovate.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will take an innovative approach to find new applications for the company's existing products as well as work closely with the R & D team to develop new ones. With a lot of your time talking to existing and potential customers, supporting the sales teams to produce solutions relating specifically to their Remote Monitoring Systems, you will help steer the company to continued growth and diversity.
Some of your main responsibilities will be:
-Delivering the company's global technology development plan
-Development of future product strategy
-Execution of the product road-map
-Management of hardware and systems teams for the execution of the product
-Cost control
-Reviews and key stakeholder engagement (internal and external)
-Working alongside the Conformance Manager to ensure regulatory compliance, stakeholder sign-off and release to manufacture
-Change control procedure
The ideal candidate will be experienced in electrical and electronic applications, incorporating software developments and implementation insights. You will have a good understanding of mechanical design with experience of introducing new products / processes in a technology based environment. In addition, you will have managed a team either directly or on a project basis.

A global manufacturer and supplier of Remote Monitoring Systems is looking for an experienced Compliance and Product Assurance Manager to help ensure the company continues to adhere to UK and European regulations
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the regulatory compliance and product assurance activities for the new products in the R & D and development phases. On top of this, you will lead assurance change control activities for existing product portfolio's.
Some of your main responsibilities will be:
?? Own and manage product regulatory compliance and assurance process and procedures
?? Own Europe based Safety Case portfolio's for new and existing product ranges
?? Work closely with US based counterparts to ensure compliance with US regulations
?? Management and sign off of Technical Construction file
?? Sign off internal developed products in line with commercialisation procedures
?? Development and ownership of change control procedure
?? Declaration of conformity
?? Contribute to tenders and opportunities
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of European standards and be educated to degree level. Experience of a similar role for an engineering business where new product introduction and scope changes to existing products is standard practice is essential.

Role and responsibilities
In order to be successful in this role, we're looking for experience in the following areas
- Previously worked as a CNC Lathe Programmer, CNC Turning Programmer, or Lathe machinist
- Be able to write using FANUC controls
- Confident with high-frequency setups and completing handovers to other machinists
- Understand and interpret 2D & 3D drawings
- Flexibility towards overtime when required

They have a highly experienced UK wide team, providing a comprehensive service to customers across a range of sectors including Steel, Automotive, Motorsport including F1, Aerospace, Oil and Gas, Energy, General manufacturing, Machine shops, Stone Cutting, Wood, Heavy Industry.
Benefits including a basic salary of circa £40K but would be negotiable dependant on experience, door to door travel paid, overtime paid in the week after 44hrs, company vehicle with choice of either car or van,fuel card, laptop and phone, 33 days holiday, pension and much more.
Covering all areas of the north west and north east of the UK, the role will include -

We would love to hear from you've previously worked in any of the following roles -
- Service Engineer, Service Technician, Maintenance of CNC, Field Technician, CNC Engineer
- Mechanically bias, ideally holding an NVQ level 3 in mechanical engineering
- Good knowledge of fault finding, electrical and mechanical repairs
- Willingness to travel extensively, and be prepared to stay overnight if required
- Clean driving license
