Manufacturing Engineer

A global manufacturer is looking to recruit an experienced hands on Manufacturing Engineer to join their team due to continued growth & expansion.

Purpose of Role:

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet strict quality standards.

You will implement a Right First Time approach, streamlining processes and driving Continuous Improvement.

In the role of Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for:

    • Establishing and improving manufacturing processes including set-up, runtime, batch, BOM routings and change control
    • Use OneCNC import and generate product CAD drawings, converting into CAM programmes where required
    • Manage CNC Programmes and CAD models
    • Produce SOP's, Tooling sheets and Inspection sheets
    • Lead new NPI programs from concept to delivery, generating plans to ensure OTIF delivery to cost and required specification
    • Produce APQP & BOM verification
    • Carry out program risk & mitigation management
    • Undertake Design & Drawing reviews
    • Manage the procurement process of all tool & fixtures required
    • Validate product & process specifications for the purchase of materials and tools

Skills/Experience/Knowledge required to be successful:

  • Experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer, Industrial Engineer in a busy manufacturing environment
  • Must have hands on experience in manufacturing / engineering - this is not an assembly position
  • Experience with CNC programming using Mazatrol / Mazak controls
  • Experience with precision / machined / metal components
  • Lean Manufacturing
  • Problem Solving
  • Able to read technical drawings / instructions
  • Able to use manual quality inspection tools
  • ERP / MRP systems

Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 08.00-17.15 / Friday 08.00 - 12.00

The role is commutable from: Solihull, Birmingham, Redditch, Warwick, Bromsgrove, Leamington Spa
