Job Description

A CNC Programmer is required for a well established, highly regarded engineering company based in Redditch. With a really low staff turnover, they're seeking a committed machinist with a stable career history and strong work ethic. The site itself is a small workshop that has 2 recently purchased Hurco machines, along with a number of second ops machinery, assembly cells and finishing equipment.

Benefits include an hourly rate of up to £15 p/h, overtime after basic hours paid at Time & 1/3 Weekday, Time & ½ Saturday, 28 days holiday, company pension and various other perks!

This position is working a permanent day shift of 40hrs Monday to Friday, with an early finish each Friday too.

The Role -

- Programming & Setting of a CNC 3 axis Hurco Milling Machine, using Winmax Controls
- Writing new programmes from scratch long hand at the machine
- Full setup including tooling, jigs, fixtures, material, speeds and feeds
- Running a first off for inspection using measuring equipment, before final pass off from QC dept
- Machining of low to high volume batch parts
- Overseeing 2 operators in the team, providing them with setup and ops support when needed
- Producing small to large batch parts from stainless, copper, mild, stainless and other materials

To be successful in this role you will have -

- Proven background in programming and setting of CNC Hurco milling machines using Winmax
- Any previous experience programming turning lathes is highly advantageous

Experience machining a wide range of materials in small and large quantities

Confident self starter with the ability to work unsupervised at times

Flexibility towards overtime as and when required

The business will also consider offering training to an experienced setter operator who has used Hurco machines frequently to edit and setup jobs, plus they have an opportunity to bring in the OEM to offer programming training for the right person.
