Due to continued growth throughout 2022 and into 2023, a routine service engineer is required for a hugely successful OEM of CNC laser cutting machinery.
The business is one of the largest and most established companies in the UK that specialize in the supply, installation, commission, and repair CNC laser and press brake machines. They also have the biggest team of field service engineers across the UK & Ireland, providing a comprehensive and reliable service to all of their customers.
There's a huge amount of training and development on offer in this role, including trips to Europe for product training, online E-training and module based courses to further develop skills/knowledge of the product range.

Responsibilities for the routine service engineer include -
The team includes a diverse range of multi skilled breakdown engineers, hotline support staff on the phone, plus a team routine engineers across the UK, all in strategic areas of the country too to provide full and comprehensive support.
All work is planned at least a week in advance, so you have full heads up on what the following week looks like
We would love to hear from you've previously worked in any of the following roles -
- Maintenance Engineer, Service Technician, Service Engineer, Apprentice Maintenance Fitter,
- Apprentice trained in mechanical, and hold an NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering
- Good knowledge of fault finding, and mechanical repairs to production machinery
- Willingness to travel nationally, and to Ireland and be prepared to stay overnight if required
- Clean driving license
Standard working hours are 45 per week, no out of hours call outs are required, and no weekends unless pre-authorized in advance by the customer and management team.
The business are prepared to be as flexible and supportive as possible, overnight stays and extensive travel is ideally kept to a minimum, but the business requires someone who is prepared to do both when necessary. In return the company can be equally flexible when needing time off or working around other engagements.

- A formal qualification within an engineering discipline, C&G or HNC preferably
