Are you an experienced Service Engineer looking to work for an established OEM of purpose made machinery? Want to work for a business that look after their staff and offer overtime, door to door payments and a strong training package? Then we want to hear from you!

They're a global business with over 500 staff and a presence in every continent. They specialize in providing automation, storage and material processing solutions to clients across various manufacturing sectors. They have a head office here in the UK for machine storage, refurbishment and distribution, as well as a global headquarters in Europe where the machines are built.

Benefits including an excellent base salary of Circa £37K per annum for the right person, door to door payments, Overtime paid in the week and weekends at higher rates, weekend bonuses, company vehicle & Fuel card, 33 days holiday including bank holidays, Private Pension, credit card for expenses.

Responsibilities for the role include -

  • Installation, Commissioning, Maintenance & Service of machines and equipment
  • Using Siemens S7 to fault find and interrogate
  • Routine service, checks and breakdown maintenance both mechanical and electrical
  • Part of a team of 8 engineers, primarily covering the midlands and south of the UK, but prepared to travel further when required, and occasional overseas travel
  • Providing end user support to customers as well as training and demonstration delivery
  • Having an autonomous 'hands on' approach managing of workload and time constraints to ensure the delivery of projects effectively
  • Use of an iPad to complete all service and maintenance documentation, and to submit timesheet hours

This role represents an excellent opportunity to work in a growing business within a solid and stable market, and will enjoy a high degree of freedom in helping evolve and develop this crucial position.

There is a robust training package with this role too, working for an OEM they offer product training in the UK, and time in Europe during the first 6 months.

Nationwide travel is expected at times, however the business do aim to keep engineers as regional as possible.

We would love to hear from you've previously worked in any of the following roles -

- Service Engineer, Field Technician, Installation Engineer, Field Service Technician
- Multi skilled both mechanically and electrically, along with electrical training ideally to city & guilds or equivalent.
- Have a solid understanding of PLC's to fault find, edit or modify as required
- Willingness to travel nationally and show flexibility when required

The business are prepared to be as flexible and supportive as possible, overnight stays and extensive travel is ideally kept to a minimum, but the business requires an individual who is prepared to do both when necessary. In return the company can be equally flexible when needing time off or working around other engagements
