The business is one of the largest and established companies in the UK that specialise in the supply, installation, commission and repair CNC Machines. They have a highly experienced UK wide team, providing a comprehensive service to customers across a range of sectors including Steel, Automotive, Motorsport including F1, Aerospace, Oil and Gas, Energy, General manufacturing, Machine shops, Stone Cutting, Wood, Heavy Industry.

Benefits including a base salary of up to £28,100, quarterly bonus, weekend overtime, daily lunch allowance, company car with fuel card, credit card for expenses, mobile phone & laptop, 30 days holiday including bank holidays, contributory pension scheme, private healthcare and life insurance.

Responsibilities for the role include -

  • Carrying out planned maintenance and service visits at customer sites across the east & west midlands areas
    Working on a range of CNC Machines including Mills, Lathes, Borers and Grinders
  • Identifying remedial repairs to be carried out and parts to be replaced
  • Updating all service and inspection documents for the machinery
  • Developing customer relationships and providing a high level of customer service on site
  • Provide technical and troubleshooting support to the customer as required
  • Travel from home to site covering your own region, but must be prepared to work within the UK and Ireland when required


The team includes 8 other experienced routine service engineers across the UK, along with 28 fully qualified service & installation engineers all in strategic areas of the country too to provide full and comprehensive support. All work is planned at least 4 days in advance too.


We would love to hear from you've previously worked in any of the following roles -

- Maintenance Engineer, Service Technician, Maintenance Engineer, Field Technician, CNC Engineer
- Apprentice trained in mechanical or electrical maintenance
- Good knowledge of fault finding, electrical and mechanical repairs
- Practical knowledge of Turning, Milling and CNC applications
- Willingness to travel nationally, and to Ireleand and be prepared to stay overnight if required
- Clean driving license

Standard working hours are 40 per week, no out of hours call outs are required, no weekends unless agreed by the client and the engineer to work it.

The business are prepared to be as flexible and supportive as possible, overnight stays and extensive travel is ideally kept to a minimum, but the business requires an engineer who is prepared to do both when necessary. In return the company can be equally flexible when needing time off or working around other engagements.
