Our client is a leading visual communications company based in East London, due to continued growth they're looking for a Structural Designer from a visual marketing/point of sale environment.

Structural Designer

Job Purpose To deliver a high standard of design work for our clients through both designing and creative input into the team, contributing to the company's reputation for our structural creativity and added value to clients' businesses through design ideas. To learn and develop the required skills for progression within the department.

Key Responsibilities * To manage the delivery of briefs to time and budget requirements.

* Creation of concepts to brief, producing scamps and highly finished samples.
* To provide expertise and a creative input from the inception stage of design work through to its final production.
* Have a strong sense & understanding of structural design principles with an ability to make design decisions both individually and for the team under the minimum of direction.
* Have a good understanding of design principles and retailer requirements across all factions of the business.
* Establish and maintain a professional rapport with all internal and external customers, internal teams and suppliers over the production of material within agreed deadlines and specification.
* Ensure accurate and up to date recording of time/activities on projects.
* Keep up to date with new products and processes.
* Work closely with project management and the creative team to ensure all work meets the specified brief.
* To consider the requirements of the structure at each point in its use including but not limited to; transport to its first point of use, assembly, merchandising, (transporting when loaded (if it is a pre-filled unit), shopping, replenishment and recycling. Then to design the unit accordingly.
* Perform archiving, and housekeeping on a regular basis.
* To provide cross-team support to others.
* To follow design procedures and ensure others in the department are also adhering to them.

3rd Party Relationships

* Not responsible directly for contracts, but must be familiar with their contents and be able to make service delivery decisions based on knowledge of those contracts.

Direct reports No direct reports, but will be required to advise and direct less experienced colleagues.

Principal Contacts Internal - Production staff and Account managers. External -Suppliers.

Health & Safety Ensures that all the requirements of statutory and Company safety regulations are fully met, including adherence to the Company's Health & Safety policy.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

* Minimum 3 years structural design experience

* Minimum 3 years CAD experience in Artios or Kasemake preferred

* Developed presentation skills * Self-directed

* Motivational skills * Communication skills * Organisational skills
