A leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company require a EMC (Electromechanical Compatibility) Manager to join their team in Durham.

EMC Manager

To managed and train and develop the EMC test team to meet utilisation target of the facility and improve technical ability

Where possible perform testing i. e. EMC, Radio, Automotive EMC testing, Onsite EMC on a variety of Electrical products to meet client requirements in accodance with UKAS quality system

To maintain accreditations (e.g UKAS, FCB) and develop and support new capabilities in the EMC/RF are i.e. TCB (US), FCB (Canada) and where possible assist with Technical Files (EMC&RTTE)

Key Accountabilities

Manage the test engineers to ensure they conduct testing in accordance with established procedures, maintaining a high standard of service delivery that ensures effective customer relationships.

To ensure test personnel and equipment are fully utilised at all times to meet and exceed KPI i.e. revenue throughput and improved/reduced turnaround times

To obtain new accreditations in accordance with business objectives in new areas of testing e.g. EMC, radio, automotive. This will involve reviewing new standards, self-training or 3rd Party training and writing test procedures and quality documents.

To carry out training for test engineers in the EMC, Radio and Automotive EMC area.

Where required, perform testing (either lab-based or on client's sites) in accordance with established procedures, maintaining a high standard of service delivery that ensures effective customer relationships.

Complete all chargeable work within the required budget and timeframes to ensure customer satisfaction and efficiency of the business.

Ensure completion of all assigned work and relevant documentation e.g. test reports and certificates in accordance with required procedures and standards to fulfil customer expectations.
