A fantastic opportunity exists for an Operations Manager to join a successful growing global business based in the Derbyshire area. Our client has more than 75 years of experience in its sector. The company provides its products to clients all over the world and provides durable, reliable and innovative products and services. Their headquarters are located in Sweden with a global network of subsidiaries, branches and agents in 13 countries all over the world.

With a wide range of new products, they also provide excellent After Sales services based on modernisations, overhauls, repairs, technical support and training as well as maintenance services.​



Responsibilities:

As the operations manager you will be responsible entirely for the site and all aspects of production and fulfilment. Plan and manage all operations activities in subsidiary within scope of responsibility. Ensure and secure that the department follows the decided strategies, values (Respect, Action, Joy, Team) and priorities (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost).

Tasks:

Manage workshop activities in accordance with Quality processes and procedures. Implement, improve and follow up quality activities such as production inspection, pre-delivery test etc. according to Quality system. Plan and set up workshop in line with scope of activity. Monitor that manufacturing related transactions are reported daily in company ERP-system.

Report regularly according to company or division's procedures. Participate in strategy and budget (expenses & investments) for scope of responsibility.



The ideal person:

You will be a self-starter and highly motivated to achieve results and drive continuous improvement and best practice. The ability to engage with your workforce and team and extract their best potential. A clear direct passionate communicator who is able to inspire others to be the best they can. Have an open door policy and encourage everyone to critique and support each other and drive a team culture.

You must be able to travel to Europe on occasion.
